A therapeutic agent delivery system () includes a housing () and a drive wheel () rotatably carried by the housing. A plunger rod () may be rotatable with the drive wheel relative to the housing from a first rotational configuration to a second rotational configuration. The plunger rod may be translatable relative to the housing from a first translational configuration to a second translational configuration. A plunger restraint () may maintain the plunger rod in the first translational configuration when the plunger rod is disposed in the first rotational configuration. The plunger restraint may permit the plunger rod to translate to the second translational configuration when the plunger rod is disposed in the second rotational configuration. A needle may move from a stowed configuration to a deployed configuration by the plunger rod when the plunger rod moves from the first translational configuration to the second translational configuration.

Systems, devices, and processes for delivery of therapeutic fluids

Methods, devices and systems for improving pelvic floor dysfunction in a patient suffering therefrom by electrically modulating neural tissue in a minimally invasive fashion using an electrical microstimulator are provided. Methods include inserting an electrical microstimulator having a re-deployable fixation member through skin of a patient's leg and advancing the electrical microstimulator through the skin along tissue of a surgical pathway to an area of the patient's leg. A target implant site can be identified that is above deep fascia and below the skin and that is adjacent to a target nerve associated with pelvic floor function. The electrical microstimulator can be anchored to the target implant site via the re-deployable fixation member or re-positioned, if necessary. A therapy electrical signal can be delivered to the target nerve from the target implant site.

Devices, systems, and methods for improving pelvic floor dysfunction

An apparatus for delivering an electrical microstimulator is provided. The apparatus comprises a handle having a handle body. An elongate delivery rod includes a delivery sheath for reciprocal movement with respect to the handle body. The delivery rod extends longitudinally from the handle body. A microstimulator docking feature is provided for selectively maintaining the electrical microstimulator on the delivery rod. The microstimulator docking feature includes at least one arm which engages the electrical microstimulator. An anchor tester is associated with the handle body for selectively sensing motion of the electrical microstimulator under influence of an applied predetermined longitudinal testing force. A method of delivering an electrical microstimulator to a target implant site of a patient's body is also provided.

An instrumented golf club system and methods are disclosed. A variety of golf swing parameters are measured by the instrumented golf club and wirelessly transmitted to a portable computer device. The portable computer device generates a user interface that displays the golf swing parameters against preferred golf swing parameters. A sensor device for detecting a change fluid level within body tissue comprising a housing with bridge segments connecting at intersections arranged to circumscribe an opening. Further, antenna elements are partially seated within the housing at intersections of bridge segments, comprise a generally planar antenna mounted to a substrate material at a base of the planar antenna, and an electrical shield surrounding the substrate. Also, an outer surface of the planar antenna faces away from the substrate. The antenna elements comprise at least first and second antenna element pairs having transmitting and receiving antenna elements and a bridging segment. A high sensitivity zone is formed between the transmitting antenna and receiving antenna. The antenna element pairs are spaced to create an area of reduced sensitivity between the high sensitivity zones, and the space is set so that the sensor is insensitive to fluid changes of a predetermined volume.

System for detecting fluid changes and sensoring devices therefor

A cartridge for use by print-disabled users to play digital audio content and a player having a receptacle for receiving the cartridge are provided. The cartridge includes a random-access digital storage device storing the digital audio content and having a connector providing access to the digital audio content; and a casing permanently housing the digital storage device and allowing access to the connector of the digital storage device. The casing has a form facilitating handling of the cartridge by the print-disabled users which includes bevelled edges, and has dimensions comparable to dimensions of a standard compact audio cassette. Preferably, the cartridge has a hole extending through the casing at its back end and a sloped surface on the bottom side of the casing at the back end. The receptacle has a form and shape facilitating insertion of the cartridge therein. It has a lower surface defining an elevated ramp along which the cartridge slides as it is inserted into the player.
