A trimmer head for use with a handheld lawn maintenance tool is shaped in a hub-and-spoke manner, wherein the trimmer head includes a housing formed of a hub, a circular rim, and a plurality of spokes extending therebetween. A spool is positioned within the hub, and a pair of pieces of trimmer line are inserted into opposing sides of the circular rim through the spokes for winding onto the spool. The trimmer line extends outwardly from the housing at a location spaced away from the hub.

Trimmer head

A multi-use lawn mower capable of operating as a mulching, side-discharge, or a bagging mower. The lawn mower () includes; a mower deck () having an opening () therein forming a passageway through which grass clippings exit the cutting chamber during select modes of operation. The lawn mower also includes a grass-collecting hopper () removably mounted on the mower deck (), the grass-collecting hopper () having a basket portion () for receiving grass clippings cut by the cutting blade () and a multi-station mounting portion () configured to interface with the opening () in the mower deck in a plurality of orientations. The mounting portion includes a mulching station () that configures the lawn mower to function as a mulching mower, a bagging station () that configures the lawn mower to function as a bagging mower, and a side-discharge station () that configures the lawn mower to function as a side-discharge mower. When the multi-station mounting portion mounts the grass-collecting hopper on the mower deck, a single one of the stations interfaces with the opening in the mower deck to configure the lawn mower for desired mode of operation.

Bagging lawn mower with selective mulch or discharge options

A method of manufacturing injection-molded components having complex features is disclosed. Prior methods typically require the use of a three-piece mold system to form an injection molded component having a complex feature, such as a lawn mower hood having a parabolic shaped front. With the development of a new rigid type of reflective material the present method can thereby utilize a two-piece mold system to form an injection molded component having complex features such as a lawn mower hood having a C-shaped open cavity located at the front of the hood.

Method of manufacturing molded components

An apparatus for starting an engine comprises a frame and an internal combustion engine operatively mounted to the frame. A control member is operatively connected to the frame, wherein the control member has an activated position and a deactivated position. The control member adapted to complete an engine circuit when in the activated position. An energy storage medium is operatively associated with the engine such that release of energy stored in the energy storage medium turns the engine and facilitates its starting. A starting assembly is utilized to release the stored energy in the energy storage medium. As such, an operator must utilize two separate and distinct actions, activating the control member and activating the starting assembly, to restart the internal combustion engine.
