A method of processing an LNB power supply output signal comprising providing an LNB selection signal to select a first of the plurality of LNB signals as the input signal, superimposing a tone onto the LNB selection signal to select a second of the plurality of LNB signals as the input signal, providing a first transponder selection voltage to select a first set of transponders within the input signal, providing a second transponder selection voltage to select a second set of transponders within the input signal, and activating an adaptive load to preserve the tone if the second of the plurality of LNB signals is selected.

A cathode ray tube video display comprises a cathode ray tube (CRT) for displaying a video signal (Vin) coupled thereto. A cathode ray tube electron beam blanker () is coupled to the cathode ray tube (CRT) and is responsive to a blanking trigger signal (GK) for blanking an electron beam (e) within the cathode ray tube (CRT). A blanking controller () is coupled to the cathode ray tube electron beam blanker () and generates the blanking trigger signal (Gk) for controlling electron beam blanking, wherein the electron beam (e) is blanked for different durations in accordance with one of a hot and cold start condition.

A processor controls a bandwidth of the video signal coupled to the cathode ray tube in response to an emission control signal. A generating device is coupled to the processor for generating the emission control signal responsive to a component of the video signal.

Emission control in a video display

Generation of unintentional emissions are controlled by analysis of display signal content processed for scanning beam velocity modulation. An apparatus for scanning beam velocity modulation comprises a scanning velocity modulation signal processor for generating an scanning velocity modulation deflection signal responsive to a scanning velocity modulation signal. A generator supplies a feed forward signal to the processor for controlling the scanning velocity modulation deflection signal amplitude in response to a component of the scanning velocity modulation signal.

Emission control with scanning beam velocity modulation

A processor controls a magnitude of a video image display signal coupled to the cathode ray tube for display in response to an emission control signal. A generating means is coupled to the processor for generating the emission control signal responsive to a component of the video image display signal.

Control of emission in a video display

An apparatus for image enhancement in a cathode ray tube display comprises an amplifier for a scanning velocity modulating signal. The scanning velocity modulating signal has an AC component and a DC value. A feedback circuit is responsive to power dissipation in the amplifier for controlling the AC component and the DC value with a first control signal, and controlling only the DC value with a second control signal.
