The subject matter of this specification can be embodied in, among other things, a method that includes receiving, from a web browser, a request for a token that authorizes a third party server to access a user's data stored by a content provider server. The token specifies a first scope of authorization that indicates a portion of the user's data that the third party server is permitted to access. The method also includes determining if the first scope is substantially the same as or a subset of a second scope of a previously issued token and transmitting the token in response to the received request if the first scope is determined to be substantially the same as or a subset of the second scope.

Web authorization with reduced user interaction

The present invention relates to systems and methods for providing a user indicia in a display at a local client browser. The user indicia is selected prior to a web transaction and is recognizable by the user. The user indicia is displayed in a web page of a web transaction during authentication. A user can recognize the user indicia prior to providing authentication information in a web transaction. An authentication system includes a web server that provides a web page having a security box identifier, and a client browser that receives the web page from the web server. In response to the security box identifier, the client browser inserts a user indicia into the received web page and outputs a modified web page including the user indicia for display.

The present invention relates to systems and methods for file association over a network. In an embodiment, a computer-implemented method for file association over a network includes determining a file type associated with a requested file and determining an uploader corresponding to a file type of the requested file. The method further includes executing the determined uploader in order to call at least one remote application associated with the file type of the requested file. In another embodiment, a system for making a file association over a network is provided. The system includes a file type mapper, at least one uploader, and an uploader data structure. The present invention relates to systems and methods for securing web-based transactions. A system for securing web-based transactions includes a credential strengthener coupled to a client browser. The client browser communicates with a web server in a web-transaction. The credential strengthener converts a web credential entered by a user at the client browser to a higher entropy web credential associated with the user. The client browser then returns the higher entropy web credential for further use in the web transaction. A method for securing a web-based transaction includes steps of converting a web credential entered by a user at a client browser to a higher entropy web credential associated with the user, and returning the higher entropy web credential to the web server to continue the web transaction.

Systems and methods for strengthening web credentials

A system for providing an operating system over a network to a local device is provided. The system includes a base image server, a preferences image server and an image loader. The system may also include a boot loader. A method for providing an operating system over a network to a local device is also provided. The method includes receiving a request for an operating system. The method further includes transmitting to a local device remotely stored base and preferences images that are configured for combination into a combined image. The method may also include the synchronizing the combined image with a cached version of an operating system on the local device.
