A system is configured to allow a business user to define insurance products based upon reusable product/offering definitions. The reusable product/offerings definitions may include reusable insurance based components and templates, which permit a business user of the software to develop and configure insurance products based upon a hierarchical set of insurance product components and insurance product templates. In addition, the system combines componentization, flexible granularity and reusable product structures to permit a user to more rapidly and predictably generate insurance product configurations and flexibly tailor the insurance products or offerings to meet a specific client or market need.

Reusable product system

A system and operations include software, servers, templates, databases, and user interfaces for initializing and deploying insurance products and offerings into test runtime environments, modeling runtime environments, and commercial product runtime environments. The system may process an insurance product offering having insurance product components based on a package manifest. The package manifest provides executables and information that enables execution of the insurance product components in conjunction with third party engine servers to access third party and/or legacy insurance related data and systems.

Post deployment query system

A system and operations include software, servers, templates, databases, and user interfaces for initializing and deploying insurance products and offerings into test runtime environments, modeling runtime environments, and commercial product runtime environments. The system may process an insurance product offering having insurance product components based on a package manifest. The package manifest may be generated prior to deployment based on arrangement of the insurance product components in an insurance product framework of the insurance product offering and third part engine servers executable in conjunction with the insurance product components. As a prerequisite to generation of the package manifest, the system may perform a coherency check of the insurance product offering to confirm compliance with a set of coherency check rules.

Deployment and release component system

An insurance claim processing system may include an insurance claim database and an automated task processor. The insurance claim database may be configured to store and provide access to data in a data record that is related to an insurance claim. The automated task processor may be executable with a computer to identify an insurance claim processing task from the insurance claim database, and obtain insurance claim data related to the identified insurance claim processing task. The automated task processor may also select an action plan from an action plan database based on the obtained insurance claim data. The automated task processor may also identify a set of one or more automated procedures included in the action plan, and cause execution of the identified set of procedures included in the action plan.

Automated task processor for insurance claims

In one example, a system to integrate a first application with a second application may associate a component type in the first application with an engine object type in the second application. The component type and the engine object type may be program object types. The system may determine a hierarchical structure that includes an engine object of the engine object type from configurable rules that are associated with the component type. The system may initiate a copy of the engine object in the second application in response to receipt of a request to copy a component of the component type in the first application.

Adapter services

An insurance claim processing system may include an insurance claim database, an event processor component, a task engine component and a collaborative intelligent task processor. The insurance claim database may be configured to store and provide access to data in a data record that is related to an insurance claim. The event processor component may be executable with a computer to iteratively monitor the data in the data record and identify events. The task engine component may be executable with a computer in response to one of the identified events to generate tasks indicative of information that needs to be acquired based on the contents of the data record. The collaborative intelligent task processor may be executable with a computer to analyze a task generated by the task engine component and select an action plan that is responsive to the task. The action plan may include a first procedure that enables the collaborative intelligent task processor to acquire information related to the insurance claim, and a second procedure that enables the collaborative intelligent task processor to process the information to yield a result responsive to the task.
