A divider for a pan, drawer or the like compartment in a refrigerator is constituted by multiple, pivotally interconnected pieces which can be selectively locked in a desired position to compartmentalize the storage compartment. The divider defines an over-center device that can be snapped into a locked in a desired position in the compartment, while being locked in position as a result of compressive forces being applied by front and rear walls of the pan or drawer. That is, the pan or drawer is preferably made of plastic and includes walls which deflect upon locking the divider in place. When the divider is opened or unlatched, all compressive forces are removed and the divider can be easily adjusted within the pan or drawer.

A refrigerator includes French-style doors and a rotating mullion. The rotating mullion is mounted to one of the French-style doors through first and second hinge members. Each of the first and second hinge members include first and second hinge elements having corresponding cam members. The cam members include multiple lobes and extend about hinge pins that define an axis of rotation for the mullion. The multiple lobes actually define first and second detent positions for the rotating mullion. A spring biases the first cam member against the second cam member so that the rotating mullion is positively maintained in either the first or second position. The mullion is formed from mating halves, each including a portion of an integrally formed pin element. The pin element travels within a guide element to automatically rotate the mullion between the first and second positions during use.

A beverage rack is configured to selectively store cylindrical cans, a series of bottles, or a single wine bottle in a refrigerator. More specifically, the beverage rack is provided with an elongated cavity for holding a wine bottle, a pair of spaced ledges for supporting a plurality of cans, and a set of ridges on longitudinal walls which accommodate a series of medium size bottles. With this arrangement, a consumer has the flexibility to choose the particular type of beverages to be stored and organized on a single rack. The rack is preferably injection molded of plastic and can be placed in various locations within a refrigerator compartment, such as on a shelf or in a drawer.

A mounting assembly for a refrigerator storage drawer includes various plastic mounting brackets having multiple hooks for engaging slots in a refrigerator shelf ladder. Each mounting bracket also includes a protrusion for snap-locking the mounting bracket on the shelf ladder. Further, each mounting bracket includes various legs extending outwardly so as to define a slot into which a drawer frame is positioned such that the drawer frame is cantilevered from cooperating ones of the mounting brackets. The storage drawer is slidably mounted within the drawer frame.

An apparatus for automatically shifting a bail arm of an automatic ice maker upon repositioning an ice storage bin carried by a slidable freezer drawer or basket includes a wedge member arranged just above a rear wall of the bin, preferably between the bin and a rear wall of the basket. The wedge member defines a frontal wedge portion that generally tapers laterally and rearwardly from a wide section to a narrow section. As the bin is shifted out of the freezer compartment, the bail arm initially engages the wide section of the frontal wedge portion, then rides up the frontal wedge portion, and subsequently rides along an opposing, rear wedge portion of the wedge member. This action is reversed upon sliding the bin back into place beneath the ice maker to gently repositioned the bale arm over the ice bin.
