A method for testing a cell site during or after construction of the cell site is provided. In various embodiments, the method is implemented by a processor on a computing platform associated with a field technician. In those embodiments, the method includes pre-test configuration and connection, RU-testing, UE-testing, and post testing actions. In the pre-test configuration and connection, a connection is made with one or more cell site routers, and computing platform configures the cell site routers for the testing. In the RU-testing, one or more RUs are connected via the CSR, connections of the RU(s) and antennas connected to the RUs are tested. In the UE-testing, the field technician is instructed to perform various sector tests to test downlink connections between the UE and the RUs.

Validation tests during or after construction of a cell site

Systems and methods for utilizing distributed computing and storage resources intelligently select processing and/or storage resources of cell sites, data centers and/or other computing nodes and tap into these available processing and data storage resources to harness these resources on behalf of other remote devices to increase the amount of computing and storage data resources to perform tasks and store data for various services. The system predicts demand and usage and dynamically selects and adjusts utilization of computing resources to meet the demand and utilize otherwise idle systems. To improve latency and reduce network congestion by avoiding adding network traffic over longer and more complex routes, the system provides resources to particular remote devices based on the geographic proximity of the computing node to the particular remote device requesting the resources.

Systems and methods for utilizing distributed computing and storage resources

A facility for testing location determination for emergency calls is described. Software on a mobile device collects a GPS location from the mobile device, and places an emergency call that encloses information usable by the emergency call processing system to calculate mobile device location. After the system performs this calculation, the call is detected to be a testing call and routed to a computer rather than an emergency dispatcher. The computer sends an SMS or other non-telephony message to the mobile device containing the calculated location. The mobile device stores the collected GPS location and the calculated location received in the non-telephony message together for comparison.

Automatic testing of emergency call location determination

Various embodiments of systems, apparatus, and/or methods are described for restricting user devices from accessing a communication network. In one implementation, multiple user devices are assigned to a user profile. At least one access parameter is designated for the user profile. An access device monitors data usage, time usage, and content usage of each of the devices associated with the user profile. In some examples, the access device may consolidate the data usage and time usage of all of the devices. If one or more of the consolidated data usage, consolidated time usage, or content usage violates the access parameter of the user profile, the access device restricts at least one of the multiple user devices from accessing the communication network.

Systems, methods and apparatus for restricting network access

A drone deployable power line fault detection sensor. The sensor can include a clamp mechanism having a clamp ring with first and second ring portions movably connected to each other and a resilient member positioned to urge the first and second ring portions toward a closed configuration. A latch can be positioned to retain the first and second ring portions in an open configuration whereby the sensor can be positioned on a power transmission line with a drone. A trigger can be coupled to the latch and operative, under the weight of the sensor, to disengage the latch thereby releasing the first and second ring portions to close around the transmission line under the force of the resilient member. One or more sensors are carried by the clamp mechanism and positioned to detect a line fault on the power transmission line, which is reported to a power station control system to de-energize the power transmission line.

Methods, systems, and apparatus for low-power, wireless, power line fault detection

An adaptive fifth generation (5G) communications system includes an adaptive 5G tower; a first adaptive 5G site coupled by a dedicated link with the adaptive 5G tower; and a second adaptive 5G site coupled by a direct link with the first adaptive 5G site. The direct link may be established by the first adaptive 5G site and couples the second adaptive 5G site with the adaptive 5G tower. Data signals may be communicated between the adaptive 5G tower and the second adaptive 5G site via the direct link and the dedicated link. Usage of the direct link is accounted for in a blockchain master ledger. The blockchain master ledger corresponds to an adaptive 5G model and may be separately maintained by each of the adaptive 5G tower, the first adaptive 5G site, and the second adaptive 5G site. The master ledger may include relay, processing, path, power, and transaction layers.

Various cellular plate assemblies are described. A plate may be present having a first side and a second side. Port connectors can be arranged on the first side of the radio plate. Each port connector is configured to be connected with a different port of a cellular radio or cellular antenna system. Cable ports can arranged on the second side of the radio plate. Each cable port can be connected with a corresponding radio port connector of the plurality of radio port connectors. Further, each cable port is keyed differently such that only a particular keyed cable assembly can be mated with the cable port.

Various cellular tower plate connection systems are detailed herein. Such systems can include an antenna plate assembly. This assembly can include an antenna plate and antenna port connectors attached to a first side of the antenna plate. Cable connectors may be present that are attached to a second side of the antenna plate opposite the first side of the antenna plate. The assembly can include a first attachment mechanism that secures antenna port connectors to antenna ports of an antenna system. The antenna port connectors may be arranged on the first side of the antenna plate such that the antenna port connectors mate with the antenna ports of the antenna system in a single possible orientation.

Various arrangements of a connection system are presented. The system can include radio cable ports. Each radio cable port may be communicatively connected with a different antenna of an antenna system. Each radio cable port may be keyed different such that only a particular keyed cable assembly can be mated with the radio cable port. The system can also include antenna cable ports. Each antenna cable port can be configured to be communicatively connected with a different radio of a radio system. Each antenna cable port may be keyed different such that only a particular keyed cable assembly can be mated with the antenna cable port. Each radio cable port is keyed in a same pattern as an antenna cable port with which the radio cable port is intended to be communicatively connected.

Systems, devices and automated processes augment television broadcasts with digital content that automatically replaces static portions of the captured imagery. In a video broadcast of a live event, for example, signs or other advertisements that are physically present in the event venue can be automatically replaced in television broadcasts of the event by virtual imagery of other signs or objects, as desired.

Various arrangements for avoiding obstacles for a visually-impaired pedestrian are presented. An m by n matrix of distance measurements may be created using a scanning time of flight (ToF) sensor component for various different directions. The m by n matrix of distance measurements and the m by n direction matrix may be analyzed to identify a first obstacle having a vertical height that differs by at least a predefined threshold measurement from a neighboring second region. Based on identifying the first obstacle, an indication of the first obstacle and an indication of the distance to the first obstacle determined using the m by n matrix of distance indications may be output.
