A cargo bed liner for protecting a cargo bed of a vehicle. Plural rigid floor panels are interconnected to form a cargo liner platform suspended above the cargo bed by suspension rails to disperse impacts and otherwise to protect the cargo bed. The floor panels are interlocked by tabs projecting from at least some of the panels. The floor panels are fixed to the suspension rails by locking slots in combination with locking studs. The suspension rails are fixed to the cargo bed in retention of the cargo liner platform. Anchors with extendable and retractable clamping members and registration members are selectively retained relative to apertures of an array of paired apertures in the platform for permitting secure and adjustable retention and transport of cargo. The clamping and registration members have outer surfaces separated by a distance less than a longitudinal dimension of apertures within the array of apertures.

Vehicle bed liner and cargo management system

A latch for a window sash is disclosed. The latch includes a cover with a handle, a chassis, a bolt biased towards an extended position and containing a notch, a plunger biased towards the extended position and containing a guide, a rotary latch, pivotally connected to the chassis, containing a guide slot for receiving the guide and a protrusion biased towards the notch. The latch is operated wherein the bolt is locked in a retracted position when the handle slides the bolt inwardly towards the chassis and the protrusion engages the notch as the rotary latch rotates towards the notch, and wherein the bolt is released to the extended position when the plunger slides inwardly towards the chassis and the protrusion disengages from the notch as the rotary latch rotates away from the notch.

A two point lock includes two pivotally mounted security hooks having sliding faces that engage sliding faces of a spring-loaded mishandling pin when the mishandling pin is vertically extended and the security hooks are rotatably retracted. The mishandling pin is vertically retracted when it abuts a jamb. When the mishandling pin is vertically retracted, the sliding faces disengage so that the security hooks can rotate to lock onto a striker on the jamb. Thus, the mishandling pin prevents the security hooks from being slammed into the striker before a door or a window is fully closed.

Two point lock for doors and windows

An improved method of cutting a helical gear sector onto a pivoting arm of a casement window is disclosed. The method includes beginning with a pre-hardened flat sheet of steel stock and cutting the arm and the helical gear sector of the arm in two steps. The non-toothed portions of the arm are cut with a laser and nitrogen assist or shielding gas to prevent any oxidation to the non-toothed portions of the structure. The helical gear sector is also cut with a laser, but using oxygen assist gas. Use of the oxygen prevents recasts slag from accumulating in the gear sector. Thus, a finished part is completed with two laser cutting operations thereby eliminating the need for separate stamping, shaping, deburring and subsequent heat treatment processes used in conventional manufacturing methods. The subsequent heat treating is eliminated because a pre-hardened steel stock may be utilized.

Method for fabricating helical gears from pre-hardened flat steel stock

A universal lock handle assembly for multi-point casement windows is provided. The lock handle assembly includes an escutcheon that is mounted to the inside surface of the window frame. The escutcheon includes a slot for receiving a handle. The handle includes a grip portion that is connected to a mid-section which, in turn, is connected to a forked end. The mid-section of the handle is pivotally connected to the escutcheon below or exterior to the inside surface of the window frame. The forked end of the handle includes two spaced-apart legs that define an open slot for slidably receiving a slider. The slider, in turn, is pivotally connected to a tiebar. The slider enables the overall length of the handle to be variable thereby enabling the distance between the tiebar and the escutcheon or the inside surface of the window frame to be variable as well.

Universal lock handle assembly for casement windows

A brake system for a window assembly comprises a track liner having two generally parallel sides defining a pocket, opposed grooves extending along the sides of the track liner, each groove being defined by a flange extending along the track liner, a base mounted for sliding along the track liner, a brake plate connected to the base and mounted for sliding along the track liner, within the grooves, the brake plate being flexibly connected to the base to enable the brake plate to move relative to the base when the brake plate is moving along the groove, a pair of brake shoes connected to the base and mounted for sliding along the track liner, the flange on each side of the track liner being positioned between the brake plate and a brake shoe, and a receiver actuable to urge the brake shoes and brake plate toward each other to grip the flange in a braking action.

A window assembly for selectively enabling a sash to be tilted out of the plane of the frame includes a brake and a sash retainer, the sash retainer having a reciprocally mounted bolt which upon rotation actuates the brake, and a lock which prevents reciprocation of the bolt until the bolt is rotated and the brake is engaged.

A plurality of spaced brackets each has mutually perpendicular first and second legs with a lip upstanding from the end of one of the legs. A third leg extends from the upstanding second leg parallel to the first leg and overhangs the first leg. A bracket mounting flange extends from the end of the third leg for securing the bracket to the face of a fascia board, the first, second and third legs being beneath the soffit region. The lip and legs are so dimensioned and spaced to releaseably secure a standard K-gutter thereto without additional fasteners. The gutter is partially under the soffit. A sheet layer has an edge beneath the shingles and curves around in front of and below the fascia above the gutter mouth forming a relatively small entrance region with the gutter. The apex of the curve extends beyond the gutter so that debris carried by water run off falls to the ground while the run off flows around the layer into the gutter.

Gutter and bracket assembly

A cable action instrument for surgery and other uses comprises a control end, a reaction end, and an angle adjustment section connecting the control end and the reaction end. A flexible control cable extends between the control end and the reaction end and allows a force to be transmitted from the control end to the reaction end so that a desired function may be performed at an instrument tip. The instrument may be bent into an unlimited number of configurations and is easily disassembled and reassembled.
