The tablets, compositions and methods of the present invention, comprising a carbonate salt of an aliphatic amine polymer and s monovalent anion can prevent or ameliorate acidosis, in particular acidosis in patients with renal disease. The tablets and compositions of the present invention maintain a disintegration time of no greater than 30 minutes at 37&#xb0; C. and at pH of at least 1 for a period of at least ten weeks at 60&#xb0; C. Furthermore, the tablets are stable for extended periods of time without the need for specialized storage conditions.

Aliphatic amine polymer salts for tableting

A powder formulation comprises a pharmaceutically acceptable anionic stabilizer and an aliphatic amine polymer or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof mixed with the anionic stabilizer. The powder formulation is conveniently packaged in a container, such as a sachet. A method of treating a subject with hyperphosphotemia with the powder formulation is also disclosed.

Sachet formulation for amine polymers

A camera holder and activation device enables a user to take pictures from vantage points spaced from the user's head. A frame defines a camera support position and an attachment device removably mounts the camera to the frame at the camera support position. An extension member such as a monopole is connected to the frame, whereby the frame may be so spaced from a user that the user cannot directly view a contemplated picture via a picture-framing element of the camera. A shifter member is movably mounted to the frame and is provided with a projection extending towards the camera support position so that motion of the shifter member brings the projection into contact with a shutter button of the camera mounted to the frame at the support position.
