A connector assembly is disclosed that includes a base with an embedded printed circuit board (PCB) and a plurality of signal pins. The plurality of signal pins electrically couple the PCB to a vehicle harness. The connector assembly includes a mating connector for mechanically coupling the connect assembly to the vehicle harness and a spring between the mating connector and the base. The spring pre-loads and axially secures the base to the mating connector. The connector assembly transmits vehicle signals through a wireless connection with vehicle and/or remote locations.

Filtration systems having a normal filtration mode and an enhanced filtration mode are described. In some arrangements, the filtration system is an air filtration system having a primary air filter element, a pre-cleaner, and a pre-cleaner bypass valve. Based on feedback from an intake air quality sensor the bypass valve is either opened or closed to selectively route intake air through the pre-cleaner during sensed dirty air operating conditions (e.g., heavy dust or moisture concentrations). In other arrangements, the filtration system is a liquid filtration system (e.g., a fuel or oil filtration system) that has a main filter and a secondary filter. The filtration system selectively routes the liquid being filtered through the main filter, the secondary filter, or a combination thereof depending on a detected event or sensed characteristic of the liquid.

An electrical coupler for coupling a load to a plurality of power sources including positive and negative load connection points. These connection points include first and second positive power connection points and first and second negative power connection points. A first electrical path is provided between the positive load connection point and the first positive power connection point. A second electrical path is provided between the positive load connection point and the second positive power connection point. The second electrical path is the same length as the first electrical path. A third electrical path is provided between the negative load connection point and the first negative power connection point. A fourth electrical path is provided between the negative load connection point and the second negative power connection point. Totally integrated temperature sensor

In one embodiment of the present invention, a system is disclosed for monitoring the backpressure produced by a particulate filter of an internal combustion engine. When the backpressure of the engine exceeds a predetermined threshold, indicating that the particulate filter should be serviced soon, an input to the electronic control module (ECM) indicating the intake manifold boost pressure is shunted to ground, thereby giving the ECM a false indication that no boost is being applied to the intake manifold. This will cause the ECM, according to its normal engine management software, to derate the engine performance to a 'no air torque setting', thereby limiting the amount of torque that the vehicle operator can extract from the engine. This decreased performance of the engine provides a very high incentive to the vehicle operator to bring the vehicle in for servicing, at which point the particulate filter can be serviced. Upon servicing of the particulate filter, the backpressure threshold condition is no longer met, the input line to the ECM from the boost pressure sensor is no longer shunted to ground, and engine operation is returned to normal. Other embodiments of the present invention contemplate the use of engine performance derating in order to provide the vehicle operator with an incentive to have any sensed engine or vehicle condition serviced.
