Piezoelectric antennas may include a tuning mechanism. The tuning mechanism may adjust the operation frequency of the antennas and compensate the frequency drifts due to environmental effects on the piezoelectric materials and the other potential circuitry. The tuning mechanism may also modulate signal for communication purposes. A transmitter circuit may control the tuning mechanism. A transmitter circuit may control the tuning mechanism. The transmitter circuit may independently control multiple of the tuning mechanism, where the piezoelectric antennas are arranged in an array.

A smartphone case includes an integrated pager processor and pager antenna. The pager processor interfaces with the smartphone via physical connection such as USB or a wireless connection such as Bluetooth. A battery embedded in the smartphone case powers the pager processor and may be shared with the smartphone via a physical connection. The pager processor may display messages via the smartphone or independently via a speaker embedded in the smartphone case. The smartphone may communicate with a paging source via a cellular network to confirm receipt of one or both of a pager signal or a cellular network signal so that the paging source may produce maps of where various communication methods are useable.

A system may include a receiver, an input digitized data buffer, and a processor. The input digitized data buffer may be configured to accumulate samples of a time domain signal, s(t), from the receiver. The processor may be configured to: remove a confirmed peak from a frequency domain signal, S(f), to produce a corrected frequency domain signal, S'(f); perform an inverse fast Fourier transform to transform the corrected frequency domain signal, S&#x2032;(f), to a corrected time domain signal, s&#x2032;(t); perform an inverse window operation on the corrected time domain signal, s&#x2032;(t), to recover original signal magnitudes; and output digitized data of the corrected time domain signal, s&#x2032;(t), for signal processing.

System and method for removing interferer signals

An antenna assembly includes a rotor, a first end component, and a second end component. The rotor includes a rotor body and a plurality of magnets configured to output a first magnetic field. The rotor body defines a plurality of slots extending radially inward from an exterior surface of the rotor body. Each magnet is disposed in a corresponding slot. The first end component includes a first end component body and a plurality of first extensions extending from the first end component body and contacting a first set of the plurality of magnets. The second end component includes a second end component body and a plurality of second extensions extending from the second end component body and contacting the first set. The first end component and the second end component are configured to output an electromagnetic signal.

Systems and methods for switched reluctance magnetic mechtenna

An adaptive recursive filter is disclosed. The filter includes a filtering device to iteratively apply a recursive filter to signal frames corresponding to portions of a sampled broadband signal. Each iteration of the recursive filter may include generating an autocorrelation signal of an input signal frame, calculating a ratio of a magnitudes of a pair of successive points of the autocorrelation signal, comparing the ratio to a selected signal detection threshold such that a value of the ratio greater than a threshold indicates at least one signal of interest, calculating an energy-weighted average frequency of the input signal frame as a frequency of interest, comparing a spectral energy of the input signal frame at the frequency of interest to spectral energies of surrounding frequencies to identify a frequency of a narrowband interference signal, and filtering the input signal frame at the identified frequency to remove the identified narrowband interference signal.
