A device and method to lower the deepest gas lift location to a deeper location within the wellbore. Providing a bottom lift tool with flexible joints to sting into a side pocket mandrel to access annular high pressure gas. Diverting that gas into the stinger through the bottom lift tool down into the wellbore below the lowest end of the production tubular and the packer and preferably to at least the bottom of the perforations in the casing.

Device and method for improving gas lift

The application discloses a safety valve including a flapper valve and a packer assembly to be installed in a bore to isolate a first zone from a second zone. Preferably, the safety valve includes a hydraulic conduit bypassing the flapper valve to allow communication therethrough when the valve is closed. Furthermore, the safety valve preferably allows unobstructed passage of tools and fluids therethrough when the flapper valve is open. The application discloses a method to install a safety valve in an existing string of tubing by deploying a packer assembly having an integral safety valve.

Downhole safety valve apparatus and method

The present disclosure is directed to a wellbore injection system. The wellbore injection system comprises a capillary fluid flow path positioned in a subsurface wellbore so as to allow fluid communication through the wellbore, the wellbore having a wellbore pressure. A receptacle is in fluid communication with a second fluid flow path that is positioned below the capillary fluid flow path in the wellbore. An injector is attached to a distal end of the capillary fluid flow path, the injector comprising an injector flow path. The injector is capable of being removably attached to the receptacle to provide fluid communication between the capillary fluid flow path and the second fluid flow path through the injector flow path. An isolation mechanism is capable of isolating the capillary fluid flow path from the wellbore pressure when the injector is not attached to the receptacle.

Method and apparatus for continuously injecting fluid in a wellbore while maintaining safety valve operation

In some embodiments, apparatus useful for providing fluids or equipment into a subterranean well through a production tubing and associated dead string includes an injection system that is movable into and out of the well without removing the production tubing. The injection system includes a stopper that forms the seal that creates the dead string.

Dead string completion assembly with injection system and methods

Apparatuses and methods to communicate with a zone below a subsurface safety valve () independent of the position of a closure member () of the safety valve are disclosed. The apparatuses and methods include deploying a subsurface safety valve () to a profile located within a string of production tubing. The subsurface safety valve () is in communication with a surface station through an injection conduit () and includes a bypass pathway () to inject various fluids to a zone below.

Method and apparatus to hydraulically bypass a well tool

A selectively communicatable hydraulic nipple is provided which includes an upper and lower communications component adapted to communicate with tools landed inside the hydraulic nipple. Each communications component communicates with a control line used by the hydraulic nipple. An operator is allowed to selectively communicate with tools landed inside the nipple via the upper and lower communications components via the nipple control line. As a result, should the TRSCSSV control line loose integrity, the operator has the option of utilizing the nipple control line to continue oil and gas production without the need for well modifications. Alternatively, an operator could land a chemical injection tool, with an injection string suspended therefrom, in the nipple and inject chemicals into the well via the nipple control line.

System and method for selectively communicatable hydraulic nipples

A kit for converting an existing wireline retrievable surface controlled subsurface safety valve () into a bypass passageway apparatus () allowing the injection of production-enhancing fluid into a wellbore while maintaining the operation of the closure member (). Bypass passageway () can extend between upper () and lower () adapters external to the existing wireline retrievable surface controlled subsurface safety valve () to allow fluid injection bypass thereof. Conversion kit can include a tubing string hanger to suspend a velocity tubing string (), a gas lift valve () for gas lift operations, a locking mandrel (), and/or a spacer tube ().

The present disclosure is directed to a gas lift system adapted to provide a gas injection point to a deeper location in a wellbore. A turn-over suspension mandrel can be landed inside a side pocket mandrel and connected to a gas lift valve on one end and a coil on the other end. A length of production tubing can extend from the side pocket mandrel. The production tubing can include a production packer to seal the annulus between the tubing and the well casing. The turn-over suspension mandrel can be constructed such that gas entering the gas lift valve is directed down through the coil and into the wellbore beneath the production packer. A plug can be placed at the bottom of the coil in order to prevent blowouts during installation of the gas lift system. An alternative embodiment of the present disclosure provides a coil and plug hung from a gas lift valve of a pack-off assembly.

System and method for thru tubing deepening of gas lift

A wellhead assembly for an injection tubing string is provided which allows a master valve to be closed without damaging the injection tubing string while still allowing for the use of a back pressure valve to isolate the tree. Wellhead assemblies and related methods of the present invention include a flange adapted to be connected between a wellhead and a Christmas tree. The assembly also includes a mandrel adapted to being inserted into the longitudinal bore of the flange, the mandrel having a port for communicating with an injection port which extends radially through the flange. The assembly further includes a hanger adapted to connect to the upper end of the injection string, wherein the hanger is further adapted to land in the longitudinal bore of the mandrel. The hanger includes a communication passageway for facilitating fluid communication between the port of the mandrel and the injection tubing string.

Wellhead assembly and method for an injection tubing string

A wellhead assembly for an injection tubing string is provided which allows a master valve to be closed without damaging the injection tubing string while still allowing for the use of a back pressure valve to isolate the tree. Wellhead assemblies and related methods of the present invention include a wellhead apparatus adapted to be connected to a wellhead. The assembly also includes a mandrel adapted to being inserted into the longitudinal bore of the wellhead apparatus, the mandrel having a port for communicating with an injection port which extends radially through the wellhead apparatus. The assembly further includes a hanger adapted to connect to the upper end of the injection string, wherein the hanger is further adapted to land in the longitudinal bore of the mandrel. The hanger includes a communication passageway for facilitating fluid communication between the port of the mandrel and the injection tubing string.

The application discloses a safety valve to replace an existing safety valve in order to isolate a production zone from a string of tubing when closed. Preferably, the safety valve includes a flow interruption device displaced by an operating conduit extending from a surface location to the safety valve through the inside of the production tubing. The application also discloses a bypass-conduit which allows communication from a surface location to the production zone through the safety valve without affecting the operation of the safety valve.

Apparatuses and methods to inject chemical stimulants () to a production zone () through a string of production tubing () around a downhole obstruction are disclosed. The apparatuses and methods include deploying an anchor seal assembly () to a landing profile () located within a string of production tubing (). The anchor seal assembly () is in communication with a surface station through an injection conduit () and includes a bypass pathway () to inject various fluids to a zone below.

Method and apparatus for fluid bypass of a well tool

The application discloses a valve, which may include either a safety valve or a storm surge choke valve or the like, to isolate a zone below a valve from a string of production tubing. Preferably, the valve includes a flow interruption surface assembly, such as a flapper valve or a ball valve, displaced by an operating conduit extending from a surface location to the valve through the inside of the production tubing. The application also discloses a bypass-conduit inside the production tubing to allow communication from a surface location to the production zone when the valve is in either an open or a closed location.

A single conduit lift pump is disclosed that only requires a single fluid conduit for both the driving fluid and the pumping action of the pump in a well bore. Fluid pressure communicated to the pump by the single fluid conduit drives the pump to load a resilient member. The fluid pressure is cycled off to allowing the lift of fluid by action of the resilient member upon the single fluid conduit. The single fluid conduit makes this pump suitable for downhole operations for the oil and gas production industries in wells that have substantial water cut that inhibits the production of gas.
