A retainer clip assembly for securing a variety of components interiorly in an automobile. The assembly includes a movable lever which secures the retainer clip assembly to a vehicle ceiling panel. The lever includes a release member that is accessible from the exterior of the retainer clip, so that the lever may be disengaged from the ceiling panel, whereby the component may be removed. A transportation clip is disclosed for use with the retainer clip assembly. The transportation clip connects the retainer clip to a headliner module during transportation to the final point of assembly. At the final point of assembly, the retainer clip can be pushed into its installed position.

Modular retainer clip assembly for use in an automobile

A mounting assembly for installing a rotatable shaft, such as used with a vehicle visor, to an apertured panel. The mounting assembly includes an elbow rotatable within an inner bracket that is held within an outer bracket. One or more resilient locking arms of the inner bracket extend through openings in the outer bracket, and a catch portion of each locking arm overlays the panel distal surface to resist withdrawal of an installed mounting assembly. Each locking arm is configured such that when the inner bracket is moved axially relative to the outer bracket, the locking arm catch portion is radially retracted clear of the panel distal surface to allow proximal withdrawal of the installed mounting assembly. A method of mounting a visor to a vehicle is also disclosed.

Mounting assembly for vehicle sunshade and method for installing same in a vehicle

A sun visor, which generally includes a foundation which maybe folded unto itself to form two foundation halves, and an upholstery cover disposed over the foundation, the foundation halves include connecting elements which engage one another to secure the foundation halves together. Additionally, a frame member may be disposed between the folded foundation halves, the frame member including connecting elements which engage corresponding connecting elements of the foundation halves to secure the foundation halves to the frame member. For example, in one embodiment, a plurality of clips may be integrally formed in a pair of connecting strips which are each associated with a foundation half, the clips of the connecting strips engaging one another when the foundation halves are pressed together to secure the foundation halves together.

Clip lock visor

A sun visor assembly is provided that includes a foundation having first and second foundation halves and a periphery that defines at least a portion of an edge of the sun visor. A first ear portion attached to the first foundation half and a second ear portion attached to the second foundation half. The first and second ear portions are secured together during assembly to form an ear, wherein at least a portion of the ear is capable of movement relative to the foundation. In one embodiment, the foundation is folded unto itself to form the first and second foundation halves. In an alternate embodiment, the foundation includes two discrete foundation halves that are secured together during assembly of the sun visor. At least a portion of the periphery of the foundation includes a rounded edge having a substantially semi-circular cross-section.

Sun visor assembly having a flexible ear

A sun visor, which generally includes a foundation which may be folded unto itself to form two foundation halves, and an upholstery cover disposed over the foundation, the foundation halves include connecting elements which engage one another to secure the foundation halves together. Additionally, a frame member may be disposed between the folded foundation halves, the frame member including connecting elements which engage corresponding connecting elements of the foundation halves to secure the foundation halves to the frame member. For example, in one embodiment, a plurality of clips may be integrally formed in a pair of connecting strips which are each associated with a foundation half, the clips of the connecting strips engaging one another when the foundation halves are pressed together to secure the foundation halves together.

A closure for a container incorporating an air valve to facilitate inflation of a bladder within the container. The closure includes a plug for sealing an opening with the container lid. The plug has a central aperture within which is seated a valve adapter. Extending through the aperture and engaging the valve adapter is a valve stem fluidly connected to an inflatable bladder. The valve adapter maintains the valve stem above the closure for connection to an air supply for inflation of the bladder. A cap snap-fits over the adapter and valve stem to protect the valve from contaminants and damage. The bladder is inflated after the container has been filled.

Air valve closure for containers

A fluid dispensing closure which incorporates a dispensing valve to control fluid flow through the closure and a vent passageway to vent air into the container as necessary. The closure includes a dispensing spout capable of mating engagement with a receiving container. The dispenser spout has a fluid passageway with a resilient valve made from an elastomeric material seated therein. The vent passageway formed in the closure is selectively sealed by a grommet depending upon the vacuum created within the container as the fluid is being dispensed from the container. A removable overcap sealingly covers the dispensing spout to capture any fluid leakage.

Fluid dispensing closure

A retainer clip assembly for securing a sun visor interiorly in an automobile. The retainer clip assembly includes a movable lever attached thereto which secures the retainer clip assembly to a vehicle ceiling panel. The lever includes a release member which is accessible from the exterior of the retainer clip, so that the lever may be disengaged and the retainer clip removed. A transportation clip is disclosed for use with the retainer clip assembly. The transportation clip connects the retainer clip to a headliner module during transportation to the final point of assembly. At the final point of assembly, the retainer clip can be pushed into its installed position and the transportation clip is concealed within the retainer clip and need not be removed.

A dosing dispenser for measuring and dispensing specific quantities, by weight, of a solid material, for example a powder or granular material, from bulk packaging to an application apparatus. The dosing dispenser includes a funnel for receiving the solid material, a valve mechanism for regulating the flow of solid material from the funnel, a balance beam, attached at one end to a resistance spring and at the other end to the application apparatus, and an indicator connected to the balance beam. As the solid material is introduced into the application apparatus, the weight of the material displaces the balance beam, which, in turn, displaces the indicator along a scale.

Dosing dispenser for powder material

A tap and valve assembly for selectively storing or dispensing fluid from a fluid container, comprising a tap body which attaches to the fluid container, a tap handle that inserts within the tap body and provides a structure for opening and closing the fluid passageway from the fluid container through the tap assembly, a valve housing having a tapered nose section, and a valve mechanism housed within the valve housing. As the tap body is inserted within the valve housing, the valve mechanism is opened creating a fluid passageway through the valve housing. A locking tab for securing the tap assembly in the closed position must be broken off before the tap may be rotated to the on position. A key mechanism ensures the assembly of matched tap and valve assemblies.

Tap and valve assembly

A sunshade mounting bracket assembly for mounting a sunshade to a vehicle without the use of tools or fasteners. The bracket assembly includes an outer bracket, an inner bracket, and an elbow to which the sunshade is attached. The outer bracket is mountable to an apertured panel such as the sheet metal interior roof of the vehicle. The inner bracket includes resilient locking prongs which define an interior hollow into which the elbow is inserted. The resilient locking prongs are structured to be insertable into an opening in the outer bracket. After their insertion into the outer bracket, the prongs engage the outer bracket when the inner bracket is axially rotated relative to the outer bracket from a first rotational orientation to a second rotational orientation for use. During their engagement with the outer bracket, the prongs are compressed radially inward to compress the elbow maintained within the hollow, which results in rotation of the elbow relative to the inner bracket being frictionally resisted. A method of installing the bracket assembly to a vehicle is also disclosed.
