In some examples, a battery assembly for an implantable medical device. The battery assembly may include an electrode stack comprising a plurality of electrode plates, wherein the plurality of electrode plates comprises a first electrode plate including a first tab extending from the first electrode plate and a second electrode plate including a second tab extending from the second electrode plate; a spacer between the first tab and the second tab; and a rivet extending through the first tab, second tab, and spacer, wherein the rivet is configured to mechanically attach the first tab, second tab, and spacer to each other.

Battery assembly for medical device

In some examples, a battery assembly for an implantable medical device. The assembly includes a housing, an electrode stack comprising a plurality of electrode plates disposed inside the housing, and an intermediate member configured to align the electrode stack at a fixed position within the housing, the intermediate member comprising a plurality of side walls, and at least one protrusion disposed on an exterior surface of the side walls, wherein the at least one protrusion is in thermal contact with an interior surface of the housing.

A battery configured to support a relatively high rate of energy discharge relative to its capacity for energy intensive therapy delivery. The battery includes a feedthrough insulator cap disposed within the interior of the battery on at least a portion of a ferrule, at least a portion of an insulator, and at least a portion of a pin, which define a feedthrough extending through an enclosure of the battery; a first electrode disposed within the enclosure and electrically coupled to the pin; a second electrode disposed within the enclosure and separated a distance from the first electrode; and an electrolyte disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode. During operation of the battery, the feedthrough insulator cap reduces dendrite formation on at least a portion of the ferrule, the pin, or both.

A frame for the interchangeable and selective display of panels of artwork or text, where at least one interior surface of the frame defines a cavity in which one or more panels may be disposed, and channels are formed on the interior surface to receive a rod that slidably engages the channels to secure and accessibly store one or more panels within the frame. Also disclosed is a technique for disposing one or more panels within a frame for display and securing the one or more panels by advancing a rod along channels to exert force against the one or more panels.

A component of an implantable medical device may include a first member, a second member, and a composite seam weld formed between the first member and the second member. In some examples, the composite seam weld includes a continuous wave (CW)-welded portion formed using CW welding and a pulse-welded portion formed using pulsed welding. A first end of the pulse-welded portion may partially overlap a first end of the CW-welded portion and may be offset from the first end of the CW-welded portion in a direction substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal orientation of the first end of the CW-welded portion. Techniques for forming composite seam welds are also described.
