An antenna mast is disclosed that has N faces, N corners that are intermediate adjacent faces, and N fins that each include a plurality of bars that extend between a first side and a second side of each fin in a direction opposite to an adjacent one of the plurality of bars. The antenna mast disclosed is lightweight, easy to maneuver and utilizes minimal raw material, while maintaining its structural integrity.

Antenna mast and method

An antenna is provided that includes a mast, a first dipole, and a second dipole. The first dipole crosses with the second dipole, and the first dipole and the second dipole form a first antenna assembly that is coupled to the mast. A hybrid power divider is coupled to the first antenna assembly, and an internal feed system, positioned within the mast, is coupled to the hybrid power divider. The antenna may include a rigid coaxial internal and external feed system.

Antenna system and method

A retractable radome strake is provided that includes an assembly of finger elements. The assembly of finger elements, when coupled to a radome, deflect at wind speeds greater than approximately twenty mph or wind pressures greater than approximately one psf. Accordingly, the retractable radome strake does not unnecessarily contribute to the wind load of a radome enclosed antenna structure when the strakes are not needed.

Retractable radome strake and method

A scoring apparatus includes a pad upon which a parachutist impacts, containing normally separated and electrically insulated conductive sheets. A fish net type of insulator disposed between the sheets permits contact therebetween upon impact by a jumper. A voltage representative of the point of contact of the jumper upon the pad is thereby generated and supplied to a display device which displays the accuracy of the landing upon the pad.
