An apparatus includes a developer and an actuator moveable in response to an input stimulus during an image forming operation of an image forming device. The apparatus includes a clutch that is actuatable, during the image forming operation, by the actuator between an engaged position in which the clutch is engaged with a photoreceptor and a disengaged position in which the clutch is disengaged from the photoreceptor. The clutch when in the engaged position transfers a force of a photoreceptor drive assembly to the photoreceptor for moving the photoreceptor, and the clutch when in the disengaged position isolates the photoreceptor drive assembly from the photoreceptor.

An apparatus includes a developer and a photoreceptor, where the developer is to transfer a toner to the photoreceptor. The apparatus includes a housing that is moveable in an image forming device, and an actuator assembly engaged with the housing. The actuator assembly is actuatable between different states in response to control by the image forming device during an image forming operation of the image forming device, where a first state of the different states corresponds to the housing being at a first position that disrupts a transfer of the toner to a transfer member of the image forming device during the image forming operation, and a second state of the different states corresponds to the housing being at a second position that allows the transfer of the toner to the transfer member.

An apparatus includes a developer to receive a toner, and an actuator moveable between different positions. An electrical switch is responsive to an input stimulus from the actuator to control a voltage that enables or disrupts a transfer of the toner from the developer to a photoreceptor, where the electrical switch when in a first state sets the voltage at a first level to enable the transfer of the toner from the developer to the photoreceptor, and the electrical switch when in a second state sets the voltage at a second level to disrupt the transfer of the toner from the developer to the photoreceptor.

An apparatus includes a developer and a moveable support that is moveable in response to actuation by an image forming device. The apparatus further includes a toner transfer modulator on the moveable support, the toner transfer modulator moveable with the moveable support between different positions to differently affect transfer of a toner to a photoreceptor or a transfer member, where the moveable support is to move the toner transfer modulator to a first position to disrupt the transfer of the toner to the photoreceptor or the transfer member during an image forming operation of the image forming device.

In response to determining that the consumable item has previously been used, the printing device resets the remaining life of the consumable item.

A print material refill container includes a housing and a chamber, within the housing, to contain a print material. The print material refill container includes a physical indicator subject to modification based on an engagement of the physical indicator with an engagement member of a printing device when the print material refill container engages the printing device to deliver the print material to a reservoir of the printing device. The physical indicator indicates an unused condition of the print material refill container when the physical indicator has a first state prior to the modification, and the physical indicator indicates a used condition of the print material refill container when the physical indicator has a second state subsequent to the modification.

Upon fulfillment of a replacement cartridge of print material, whether projected usage of a printing device will likely deplete a current cartridge of print material prior to anticipated arrival of the replacement cartridge is determined. Responsive to determination that the projected usage will likely deplete the current cartridge prior to the anticipated arrival of the replacement cartridge, the printing device is to enter a reduced print material usage mode during subsequent actual usage of the printing device.

An image forming apparatus includes a development cartridge having a developing roller. A coupler for the image forming apparatus includes a shaft and a coupling structure to rotate the developing roller. The coupling structure is disposed at an end part of the shaft, is movable along an axial direction of the shaft and coupleable with another coupling structure of a print engine of the image forming apparatus. The coupling structure includes a body, a magnet disposed in the body to cause the coupling structure to be attracted to the another coupling structure so that the coupling structure is aligned with the another coupling structure, and a plurality of protrusions which protrude from the body in the axial direction to engage with the another coupling structure, the plurality of protrusions having at least one side with an inclined face.

In response to detecting that a remaining supply of print material of a first cartridge has reached a first threshold, a printing device transmits a request. In response to detecting that a second cartridge has replaced the first cartridge, the printing device determines whether the remaining supply had reached a second threshold and whether a token permitting usage of the second cartridge was received responsive to the request. In response to determining that the remaining supply had reached the second threshold and that the token was received, the printing device prints with print material from the second cartridge.

An example print material replenishment device includes a container to contain print material, a dispensing end to engage a fill port of a printing device, the dispensing end including an opening that is offset from a center axis of the container, and a rotatable cover coupled to the dispensing end, the rotatable cover to expose the opening of the dispensing end based on a rotation of the print material replenishment device.

For instance, a print particle refill device may comprise a cap disk to form a barrier between the print particle refill device and a receptacle, a first liner adjacent to the cap disk to seal print particles in the print particle refill device, and an actuating liner to wipe print particles, when present, from the receptacle.
