An attachment for securing an air tank or canister to a paintball marker, the attachment comprises a first attachment piece formed on the paintball. The first attachment piece has a body portion by means of which it is secured to the paintball marker and a fastening portion. A second attachment piece is provided and has a body portion by means of which it is secured to the air tank and a fastening portion. The fastening portion of the second attachment piece is configured to releasably engage with the fastening portion of the first attachment piece to secure the air tank to the paintball marker.

The present invention provides a trigger assembly for a paintball marker utilizing compressed gas. The trigger assembly includes an air assist trigger mechanism further providing exhaust gas to a ram assembly for recocking the paintball marker.

Low pressure ram assembly

A paintball marker utilizing fiber optic cables and quick disconnects to create an isolated electrical circuit which is more robust to environmental effects while improving marker balance by relocating the sensor weight. A paintball marker is provided using a frame structure defining a mounting area and a distal sensing area with an optical sensor connected to the frame at the mounting area and a fiber optic cable connected between the optical sensor and the distal sensing area. Both reflective and broken beams sensors are taught for use with the present invention as well as a light source providing light through an optic supply line connected between the light source and the distal sensing area.

Fiber optic paintball marker

A novel three-way valve comprising a valve body, a valve sleeve for adjustable position mounting within the body, and a valve stem movable so as to selectively form a pathway between line recesses in the valve sleeve. Three line recesses are used to form a three way valve and the front and rear line recesses are provided around the diameter such that an increased number of apertures may be provided while reducing the diameter of the apertures themselves to provided the necessary fluid flow with a reduced throw requirement for the valve stem. Exhaust valves are provided to relieve pressure on the unused fluid path. Preferably, the apertures are equi-spaced around the recesses diameter to create a more efficient fluid flow. The valve has a knob and/or a hex key for making fine adjustments to the position of the valve sleeve for optimal efficiency.

Trigger assembly

A trigger assembly comprises a trigger frame having a body with a cavity therein, a handle connected to the body, a trigger guard on the body defining a space with which a portion of the cavity is in communication, a connection member on the body, a slot member on the body, and abutment surfaces within the cavity. It also comprises a trigger pivotably mounted and movable within the trigger frame and comprising a body portion, a pivot connection means on the body portion connectable to the connection member of the body, a lever extending from the body portion for contact by a user, an engagement portion for engaging a firing mechanism to initiate discharge, and a rod connection means associated with the body portion for connecting the trigger to a rod to initiate re-arming.

An internal reset system for paint ball markers. A hammer body as modified rearwardly to include an axial opening to receivably retain the forward head of a reset rod. The forward portion of the reset rod is thus free to reciprocate within the axial opening, but restrained, during the reset phase, when the head of the reset rod internally encounters a flange at the rear of the axial opening. In this phase the reset rod carries the hammer to the reset position, compressing a spring, where it is retained by the trigger sear ready for the next firing. The rear end of the reset rod is affixed to a back block that mechanically connects the modified hammer assembly and the marker bolt. In one embodiment the hammer is modified by a hammer sleeve, attached rearwardly to the hammer body and having an axial opening for the head of the reset rod.
