Techniques are described for processing one or more input sources. One or more frames are received which are to be combined into a composite result frame. Each of the one or more frames corresponds to one of the input sources. For each of the one or more frames, processing is performed to mathematically combine desired video effects to be applied to each frame for a current frame time. For each frame, a set of control settings including scaling and positioning settings is determined. Another set of control settings used to combine one or more transformed frames is determined. Each of the one or more frames is processed to generate a corresponding one of the transformed frames in accordance with the set of control settings associated with each frame. The one or more transformed frames are combined into the composite result frame in accordance with the other set of control settings.

Integrated live video production system

Creating a blur in a digital image by receiving original pixel values in a frame of image data, and for each pixel position in the digital image being blurred, calculating a blurred pixel value by applying a box filter having a plurality of elements with unity multiplier values to original pixel values for pixel positions that include the pixel position and pixel positions that are nearby to it. The output of the first box filter can be sequentially applied as inputs to a second box filter.

Apparatus and method for creating effects in video

The invention provides a method for transforming pixels of a digital image by a preselected-transformation. The method includes acts for receiving pixel values of a selected pixel block from an original image provider; determining transformed pixel values for an image block of the selected pixel block under the transformation; and burst writing the transformed pixel values to a random access memory.
