A digital file is associated with a security attribute related to watermarking criteria. The digital file content is encrypted, and may not be decrypted by a receiving computer unless the watermarking criteria is met. The receiving computer may decrypt only the encrypted portion of the security attribute unless the watermarking criteria are continuously met at the receiving computer. Improved security and reduction of pirating of the digital content is therefore provided.

Watermark access/control system and method

A method for controlling access to a digital file includes: associating digital content with a header, the header including data identifying a permitted access identity corresponding to a physical key removable from a reading computer. The method also includes encrypting the header and the digital content, the header being susceptible to decryption separate from the content by a key interface.

Electronic file access control system and method

A digital file is associated with a security attribute in which identification data for a physical key is stored. The digital file content is encrypted, and may not be decrypted by a receiving computer unless a removable physical key that can be associated with the receiving computer includes identification data which matches the identification data stored in the file's security attribute. The digital content encrypted in the file may be compressed, and a portion of the security attribute may also be encrypted. When a portion of the security attribute is encrypted, the receiving computer may decrypt only the encrypted portion of the security attribute unless the identification data of the security attribute matches the identification data of a physical key physically or wirelessly coupled to the receiving computer. Improved security and reduction of pirating of the digital content are therefore provided.

A digital file is associated with a header in which identification data for a physical key is stored. The digital content encrypted in the file may be compressed, and the header may also be encrypted. When the header is encrypted, the receiving computer may decrypt only the header unless the identification data of the header matches the identification data for a removable physical key. Improved security and reduction of pirating of the digital content are therefore provided.

A motion picture film capable of reproducing the sound field full of ambience in the reproducing system. The digital sound tracks 5L and 5R, on which digital audio data have been recorded, are recorded so that temporally same digital audio signals are recorded with a spatial shift by a preset distance along the film running direction.

Digital sound recording on motion picture film

An audio data readout device for a motion picture film and a clock generating device in a changeover system for a motion picture film. First and second clock generating circuits generate first and second clocks of predetermined frequencies based upon a repetition frequency of perforations detected by first and second film readers and a repetition frequency of a track pitch of audio data, and route the resulting clocks to a changeover switch. At a changeover time, a changeover controller switchingly controls the changeover switch to select the second clock. A system clock generating circuit has loop characteristics of a longer time constant than the first or second clock generating circuits and smoothly locks the second clock to generate a system clock which is outputted. A stable and accurate system clock can be generated and outputted even when film running is unstable at the changeover time.

Audio data readout device for motion picture film and clock generating

An add-on module for a contact printer used to manufacture a motion picture. The module enables the printing of a digital optical soundtrack on motion picture film from a sound negative using a standard contact printing process. The module includes spaced apart guide rollers and a main roller. Unexposed film is placed in contact between the main roller and the sound negative. The module further includes a fiber optic light source positioned adjacent to the sound negative for exposing the film and forming the digital soundtrack. The digital soundtrack is formed on a portion of the positive print which includes an area between each of the sprocket holes. In addition, the digital soundtrack extends from each sprocket hole to the edge of the positive print on both sides of the print.
