An apparatus including a policy acquisition circuit, a parameter acquisition circuit, and a parameter storage circuit. The policy acquisition circuit interprets a vehicle policy data value having at least one requested vehicle property. The parameter acquisition circuit interprets vehicle parameter values from providing end points each on at least one network zone of a vehicle. The parameter storage circuit selectively stores a portion of the vehicle parameter values. A first portion of the stored portion of the vehicle parameter values is stored on a storage end point distinct from an associated one of the providing end points for the at least a first portion of the stored vehicle parameter values. The parameter storage circuit also determines a reserved memory amount by determining an amount of data to be collected to support the at least a portion of the vehicle parameter values.

System, method, and apparatus for managing vehicle data collection

An apparatus for managing vehicle data collection including a policy acquisition circuit, a parameter acquisition circuit, and a parameter storage circuit. The policy acquisition circuit structured to interpret a vehicle policy data value including a requested vehicle property. The parameter acquisition circuit is structured to interpret a plurality of vehicle parameter values from a plurality of providing end points on at least one network zone of a vehicle. The parameter storage circuit is structured to selectively store at least a portion of the plurality of vehicle parameter values, determine a reserved memory amount associated with at least a portion of the plurality of vehicle parameter values by determining an amount of data to be collected to support plurality of vehicle parameter values; and perform the selectively storing the plurality of vehicle parameter values in response to the reserved memory amount.

An apparatus for managing vehicle data collection including a remote access execution circuit, a property translation circuit, a parameter acquisition circuit, a remote operation circuit, and a parameter conditioning circuit. The remote access execution circuit interprets a remote access request value including a requested vehicle property and/or a vehicle function value. The property translation circuit determines: a property request value responsive to the requested vehicle property; and/or an actuator command value responsive to the vehicle function value. The parameter acquisition circuit interprets vehicle parameter values responsive to the property request value. The remote operation circuit provides the actuator command value to a vehicle network zone endpoint. A device includes a converged input/output controller that includes a physical target storage media controller, a physical network interface controller and a gateway between the storage media controller and the network interface controller, wherein gateway provides a direct connection for storage traffic and network traffic between the storage media controller and the network interface controller.

A method for achieving optimal use of compute, storage and network resources in a distributed computing system is provided. In one embodiment, a job request associated with a file is submitted. A Job Scheduler in conjunction with a workflow manager determines the best fit for dynamically chunking size of the file. The distributed storage subsystem provides a dynamic view to the compute resources where the job will be run. This knowledge is also used to pre-staging the data by the distributed storage subsystem. Furthermore, keeping a history of the job and their data allows for further improvements in resources and job execution times by being able to skip processing on data that has been done previously. Given the ability to chunk the file dynamically, it is possible to re-balance resources for running the job dynamically to meet its service level agreement.
