A wide current-and-voltage-range, precision supply circuit to conduct current (pulsed or continuous) having precisely-controlled current levels through a load is described. The supply circuit includes selectable current-sensing resistors in a feedback loop that controls current output to accommodate a wide range of currents provided to the load. The circuit can include a programmable output voltage that is applied to the load. The circuit can provide sensed voltage information from a single sensing node in the supply circuit to enable protection of the load and of power transistor(s) that conduct current through the load.

Wide-range, precision supply circuit

An underwater light including a programmable controller and a replaceable light-emitting diode (LED) printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) is provided. The light includes a controller PCBA in communication with the LED PCBA, and a connector for connecting the controller PCBA to the LED PCBA. An optically-transparent potting compound encapsulates the LED PCBA, and the LED PCBA can be safely replaced by removing a rear housing of the underwater light.

Underwater light having programmable controller and replaceable light-emitting diode (LED) assembly

An underwater light having a replaceable light-emitting diode (LED) module and cord assembly is provided. The underwater light includes a lens, a bezel, a screw, a cable attachment assembly, a mounting flange, a rear housing, a fastening assembly, an internal lens, a printed circuit board (PCB) including light-emitting diodes (LEDs) mounted thereon, a heat sink, and an electronics assembly. The assembly of the underwater light provides for the dissipation of heat away from the PCB thereby cooling the LEDs and electronic components mounted thereon. The electrically non-conductive nature of the exterior components of the underwater light permit the underwater light to be installed in any location in a pool or spa. Since the exterior of the underwater light is electrically non-conductive, no specific bonding or grounding of the underwater light is necessary.

Underwater light having a replaceable light-emitting diode (LED) module and cord assembly

Apparatus and methods for flexible input/output signaling over a same signaling channel are described. A programmable interface circuit includes a signaling channel that can be adapted, prior to use or during operation, for transmission and/or reception of different types of analog and digital signals. The interface circuit can be used for communications between an isolating communication controller and components of a machine that use diverse signaling types.

Input/output apparatus and methods for monitoring and/or controlling dynamic environments

A sport event transducer having an output element that can emit a perceivable output in response to an event that relates to a sport team, such as for example by emitting an audio-visual output when a particular football team scores a touchdown. The transducer can be removable attached to a sport garment such as a cap or jersey, or can be an integral part of the garment. A transmission system remotely controls such transducers in response to sport team events by broadcasting an RF signal carrying team event messages, such as for example by transmitting an FM radio-data broadcast that carries a team event message embedded in the FM signal as RDS data. The sport event transducer receives and decodes such RF broadcast signals. If the transducer receives a team event message that relates to the transducer's affiliated team, the transducer's output element emits an audio and/or visual output signal in response to the message.

A bus powered device includes a signal processing control circuit connected to and powered by a bus at a predetermined operating current and a bus current modulator circuit interconnected in series with a signal processing control circuit to the bus for providing a bipolar communication signal having an average current of substantially zero; the total series current of both the circuits is only the current required by the signal processing control circuit or the absolute value of the most negative current excursion during communication, whichever is greater.
