This disclosure provides a refrigerated display case for maintaining food freshness and improving food safety while reducing the possibility of spoilage and reducing the labor otherwise required for cleaning a standard case where contaminates commonly accumulate. This structure improves humidity levels by avoiding condensation on lower coils while reducing the complexity of adequately cleaning the case and maintaining food safety. Elimination of this hidden cavity reduces cleaning time. The disclosure employs a removable floor assembly or chilled floor component which may be employed in gravity cases or forced air cases. The removable assembly comprises encased cooling coils which may be foamed in or otherwise secured therein. The floor assembly is removable, making the floor and cooling system an integrated and replaceable component. The novel case further incorporates accessible expansion valves which may be adjusted without removing the food product from the case. Electro thermal cooling means may be alternatively employed.

Refrigerator display case

A Guanella type balun with a conductive enclosure (for example, a re-entrant box) between its coupled lines and the magnetic material enclosing its coupled lines. Some embodiments use coupled strip lines. Some embodiments have dielectric material, such as printed circuit board material inside the re-entrant box along with the coupled strip lines. Preferably, the magnetic material is ferrimagnetic. Some preferred magnetic materials are non-conductive.

Wideband balun using re-entrant coupled lines and ferrite material

A high frequency amplifier network is provided in which an auxiliary amplifier is available to replace one of a plurality of primary amplifiers. Alternately, the auxiliary amplifier may operate in parallel with one of a plurality of primary amplifiers.

Auxiliary amplifier network

A circuit dividing and/or combining signals that has an input port for receiving a first signal, a first transmission line connected at one end to the input port, and a first connection point. The first connection point is connected to another end of the first transmission line. The first connection point provides a path to a first output port. A plurality of additional transmission lines, connection points and output ports is connected in sequence. Each transmission line is connected at one end to the (N&minus;1)th connection point. A N connection point is connected to another end of the N transmission line. The N connection point provides a path to a N output port. The circuit provides equal amplitude at each of the anntena ports and further provides 90&deg; phase progression between each pair of adjacent output ports.

Multiport serial feed device

A circuit for supplying signals to a quadrifilar antenna that has an input port for receiving a first signal, a first transmission line connected at one end to the input port, and a first connection point. The first connection point is connected to another end of the first transmission line. The first connection point provides a path to a first antenna port. A second transmission line is connected at one end to the first connection point. A second connection point is connected to another end of the second transmission line. The second connection point provides a path to a second antenna port. A third transmission line is connected at one end to the second connection point. A third connection point is connected to another end of the third transmission line. The third connection point provides a path to a third antenna port. A fourth transmission line is connected at one end to the third connection point. A fourth connection point is connected to another end of the third transmission line. The fourth connection point provides a path to a fourth antenna port. The circuit provides equal amplitude at each of the antenna ports and further provides phase progression of 0 degrees, 90 degrees, 180 degrees and 270 degrees.

Quadrifilar antenna serial feed

A circuit for dynamically combining/splitting power amplifier outputs having at least four power input ports. The input ports are joined by a 360 degree transmission line having three switches spaced 90 degrees apart. Two coupled line circuits are connected to the transmission line. The coupled line circuits are placed in parallel and each of the coupled line circuits selectively provides either 50 Ohms or 70.7 Ohms impedance.

Dynamic combiner/splitter for RF signal systems

A surface mount balun includes a first stripline segment having a first and second end, a first balanced port connected to the first end, and a second balanced port connected to the second end, a second stripline segment overlapping and coupled to the first stripline segment, and having a third end adjacent to the first end of the first stripline segment and a fourth end disposed approximately adjacent to the center of the first stripline segment, a third stripline segment overlapping and coupled to the first stripline segment, and having a fifth end adjacent to the second end of the first stripline segment and a sixth end disposed approximately adjacent to the center of the first stripline segment, and a third, unbalanced port connected to the sixth end of the third stripline segment.

Stripline balun

A balun includes first and second symmetrical couplers, preferably first and second backward wave couplers connected to form a balun having an unbalanced port and a balanced port. More specifically, a balun in accordance wit this invention includes first and second backward wave symmetrical couplers each having an input port, a direct port, coupled port, and an isolate port in which the input port of a first coupler is connected to an input port of the second coupler, and the isolated port of the first coupler and the direct port of the second coupler are connected to the balanced ports of the balun respectively.

Balun formed from symmetrical couplers and method for making same

Eight detached playing blocks have different indicia sequences. Each indicia sequence is different from one another. The indices in each sequence have a numerical character and a directional character to them. Varying numbers of playing blocks can be used to provide various puzzles and games with different levels of required skill.
