A system including an agricultural vehicle, a rear-mounted mower coupled to the agricultural vehicle by a rear hitch, a front-mounted mower coupled to the agricultural vehicle by a front hitch, and a control system. The control system is configured to control the rear-mounted mower by obtaining a signal from a sensor positioned on the front hitch coupled to the front-mounted mower. Then assigning a value to the signal, determining if the value exceeds a threshold, transmitting an instruction to adjust the rear-mounted mower laterally, and executing the instruction by adjusting the rear-mounted mower laterally to a lateral position.

An agricultural mower system includes: a towing vehicle including an engine and a tongue coupler and defining a towing centerline; a mower including a frame carrying cutters and pivotably coupled to a tongue that is pivotably coupled to the tongue coupler, the frame defining a mower centerline that is offset from the towing centerline, the tongue defining a towing angle with respect to the towing centerline and a mower angle with respect to the mower centerline; a mower angle actuator coupled to the tongue and the frame; and a controller configured to: determine the towing angle has changed by a change amount relative to a defined towing angle; determine a turn compensation amount for the mower angle as a function of the change amount and a constant; and output a compensation signal to cause the mower angle actuator to adjust the mower angle by the determined turn compensation amount.

A header includes: a header frame; a cutter carried by the header frame; a roll disposed rearwardly of the cutter and configured to convey cut crop material rearwardly in a crop flow stream; a swath gate coupled to the header frame and movable between a spreading position and a converging position; a spreader coupled to the swath gate and configured to laterally spread the crop flow stream as the crop flow stream flows across the spreader; and a converger coupled to the swath gate and configured to converge the crop flow stream toward a centerline of the swath gate as the crop flow stream flows across the converger. The spreader and the converger are configured to not be in the crop flow stream at the same time, depending on the position of the swath gate.

A system for sensing the angular position of a caster wheel includes a sensor mounted on a bearing which supports a shaft aligned with the rotational axis of the caster. A target on the shaft is detected by the sensor which generates signals indicative of the presence or absence of the target. The position of the target is coordinated with the position of the caster wheel such that the signals are indicative of the angular position of the caster wheel. The target may be a groove extending partially around the shaft and a remaining ungrooved portion of the shaft.

The crop conditioning device also includes a tension member operably connected to the second conditioning roll. The tension actuator is configured for adjusting the tension force applied by the tension member. Deployment mechanism and hydraulic system for an agricultural mower

The turning radius of a differentially steered vehicle towing a trailer is controlled when turning so that its turning radius is greater than a minimum allowable turning radius. The turning radius may be autonomously adjusted using a controller to monitor the instantaneous rotational speed differential between the driven wheels and increase or decrease the relative speed between the wheels when the instantaneous rotational speed differential exceeds a threshold rotational speed differential, indicating a turn which is too tight. Alternately, the turning radius may be controlled by the vehicle's operator, who receives a signal from the controller indicating that the vehicle's turning radius is less than the minimum allowable. The operator may then take action to enlarge the turning radius using manual controls.
