An electric vehicle (EV) is charged according to a selected charging rate. An available dispatch time is determined based on a current charge level of a battery of the EV, a first charging rate, and a target charge level. An anticipated dispatch time is determined based on predicted demand for a fleet of EVs that includes the EV. If the available dispatch time is later than the anticipated dispatch time, the first charging rate is selected; if the available dispatch time is earlier than the anticipated dispatch time, a second charging rate that is lower than the first charging rate is selected. The second charging rate may be a rate that charges the battery of the EV to at least the target charge level in time for the anticipated dispatch time.

Systems and methods for detecting and responding to stuck vehicle doors, where the doors are stuck due to ice formation on the vehicle. In particular, systems and methods are provided to utilize diagnostic signals from the vehicle door motor controller to automate the process of detecting stuck doors due to ice formation. Vehicle internal systems can be used to attempt to unstick a stuck door without manual intervention. Additionally, vehicle routing can be used to unstick a stuck door without manual intervention. For example, a vehicle can be routed to a facility where the temperature is above freezing so any ice formation on the vehicle will melt. Vehicle routing can also be used to route the vehicle to a facility for service to unstick the stuck door.

Systems and methods for dynamically suppressing noise at electric vehicle charging sites. In particular, systems and methods are provided for measuring the ambient noise at a charging site and adjusting electric vehicle chargers to reduce noise pollution. In some examples, electric vehicle charger cooling fans potentially generate a high level of noise, and the power output of a charger can be decreased to decrease the heat generated by the chargers, thereby reducing the need for fans. In various examples, reduction of noise pollution can be especially important in specified geographies (e.g., residential neighborhoods) and/or during selected timeframes (e.g., overnight). In various examples, the system interfaces with a central computer service (e.g., a dispatch service) to intelligently route autonomous vehicles to charging sites based on noise levels at various available charging sites.

System and method to dynamically suppress noise at electric vehicle charging sites

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for maintaining cleanliness of an autonomous vehicle. In some examples, an autonomous vehicle fleet management device may receive cleanliness data corresponding to at least one autonomous vehicle. In some aspects, the autonomous vehicle fleet management device may determine, based on the cleanliness data, one or more parameters corresponding to at least one cleanliness issue associated with the at least one autonomous vehicle. In some cases, a remediation plan for the at least one cleanliness issue may be determined based on the one or more parameters. In some instances, at least one driving instruction may be sent to the at least one autonomous vehicle that is based on the remediation plan.

Systems and techniques for monitoring and maintaining cleanliness of an autonomous vehicle

Systems and methods are provided for autonomous vehicle recovery. In particular, systems and methods are provided for vehicle recovery prioritization in a fleet of vehicles when multiple vehicles request recovery. Stranded vehicles in need of recovery assigned a risk profile and prioritized based on the risk profile. The risk profile can be based on a number of factors, such as a risk level for the vehicle due to the vehicle's situation, the presence of passengers in the vehicle, and congestion caused by the vehicle. Recovery response can be based on the recovery prioritization. Vehicle sensors and computing power can be used to inform onboard processors and/or central computers of a risk profile for the vehicle, and dispatch can trigger a response plan according to a recovery response framework.

The power distribution module receives power from a charging station, draws power from the battery in a discharging mode, distributes power from the charging station to the battery in a charging mode, and distributes power to a plurality of subsystems of the EV. The battery bypass module is coupled to the battery and the power distribution module. When the battery bypass module is engaged in a charging bypass mode, power distributed by the power distribution module bypasses the battery and is distributed to at least a subset of the plurality of subsystems of the EV.

In particular, systems and methods are provided for using transducers positioned at various location in and on a vehicle to measure parameters related vehicle structural health.
