According to one aspect, embodiments of the invention provide a power system comprising an input power distribution circuit including a plurality of power connections, a first power supply coupled to a first power connection of the plurality of power connections, a scalable battery bank including at least a first battery module coupled to a second power connection of the plurality of power connections, the first battery module including a first battery and a first battery charger, the first battery charger and the first power supply being removable and interchangeable, and an output power distribution circuit coupled to the first power supply and the first battery and configured to provide output power derived from at least one of the first power supply and the first battery.

System and method for power storage and distribution

An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system includes an AC power input configured to receive AC power from a single-phase AC power source or a multi-phase AC power source, a DC power source, an output circuit including a power output, a controllable switch configured to selectively couple at least one of the AC power input and the DC power source to the output circuit, and a processor coupled and configured to affect operation of the output circuit depending upon which of single-phase and multi-phase operation of the UPS is indicated.

Uninterruptible power supply

Systems and methods are provided for an uninterruptable power supply having a positive DC bus, a neutral DC bus, and a negative DC bus. The uninterruptible power supply includes a battery charger circuit having an inductor, a first charger output, and a second charger output. A first switch connected to a first end of the inductor is configured to couple the positive DC bus with the first charger output. A second switch connected to a second end of the inductor is configured to couple the negative DC bus with the inductor. The neutral DC bus can be coupled to the second charger output. The battery charger circuit can be configured to draw power from at least one of the positive DC bus and the negative DC bus to charge a battery coupled to the first charger output and the second charger output.

Non-isolated charger with bi-polar inputs

Systems and methods are provided for an uninterruptable power supply having a positive DC bus, a neutral DC bus, and a negative DC bus. The uninterruptible power supply includes a battery charger circuit having an inductor, a first charger output, and a second charger output. A first switch connected to a first end of the inductor is configured to couple the positive DC bus with the first charger output. A second switch connected to a second end of the inductor is configured to couple the negative DC bus with the inductor. The neutral DC bus can be coupled to the second charger output. The battery charger circuit can be configured to draw power from at to least one of the positive DC bus and the negative DC bus to charge a battery coupled to the first charger output and the second charger output.
