A wearable biofluid volume and composition system includes a microfluidic flexible fluid capture substrate having a microfluidic channel configured as a sweat collection channel and is configured to be worn on a human body and to collect and analyze biofluid. The microfluidic flexible fluid capture substrate further has a plurality of conductive traces and electrodes. An electronic module is attached to the microfluidic flexible fluid capture substrate and is configured to measure and analyze data from the biofluid collected by the microfluidic flexible fluid capture substrate and to transmit the analyzed data to a smart device.

The conductive stiffeners include a conductive surface that can be electrically connected to contact pads on the flexible printed circuit board. The wearable device can further include an adhesive layer or an encapsulation layer. The adhesive layer and the encapsulation layer can include conductive portions surrounded by non-conductive portions. The conductive portions can be aligned with the conductive stiffeners and together transmit electrical energy to the contact pads of the flexible printed circuit board.

An on-body sensor system includes a hub configured to be attached to a surface of a user. The hub being further configured to transmit electrical power and/or data signals into the surface and to receive response data signals from the surface. The system further including at least one sensor node configured to be attached to the surface. The sensor node being further configured to receive the electrical power and data signals from the hub through the surface and to transmit the response data signals into the surface. The electrical power from the hub can power the sensor node and cause or enable the at least one sensor node to generate sensor information that is transmitted back to the hub within the response data signals.

System, devices, and method for on-body data and power transmission

An intrauterine device includes an articulating array. The intrauterine device can be operated by articulating the articulating array into an installed position or geometry within the uterus of a patient. Further, the articulating array can be constructed to include an insertion geometry have a smaller cross section than an installation geometry. The articulating array can also be constructed to be housed within a sheath in the intrauterine device. Once the sheath has been inserted into a patient, for example through the patient's cervix, the articulating array can be deployed in its insertion geometry and then articulated into an installed position. The articulating array can include a plurality of expansion chambers. The expansion chambers can be constructed and arranged to take on the installed geometry when expanded. In one embodiment, the purpose of the articulating array is to position a conductive array within the patient's uterus enabling ablation of the uterine lining.

Sterilization devices and methods for deploying porous implants within the fallopian tubes are disclosed. The devices include a catheter component including an external electrode sheath containing at least two deployable implants and a positioning member. Sliding the external sheath proximally disposes the implants within the fallopian tubes, while sliding both the positioning member and external electrode sheath distally reloads a second implant into the external electrode sheath. The devices further includes a handle component, which houses a chassis, external electrode sheath carrier, reciprocating shaft, positioning member carrier and first and second engaging members. The reciprocating shaft may be operated by a motor to slide distally and proximally along a long axis. The reciprocating shaft, external electrode sheath and its carrier, upon selective actuation, move together proportionally to deploy and reload the implants to facilitate occlusion of the fallopian tubes and complete sterilization.
