A door assembly may include a first sidelite configured to be operably coupled to a first doorjamb, a second sidelite configured to be operably coupled to a second door jamb where the first and second sidelites are disposed in a common plane and define a door opening between the first and second sidelites, a first sliding panel, a second sliding panel where the first and second sliding panels are movable from a closed position disposing the first and second sliding panels to block access through the door opening and an open position in which the first sliding panel is proximate the first sidelite and the second sliding panel is proximate the second sidelite, a first partial door panel, and a second partial door panel. The first and second sliding panels are disposed in a second plane parallel to the common plane in both the open and closed position. The first and second partial door panels are operably coupled to the first and second sidelites, respectively, via hinge assemblies. The first and second partial door panels have a closed state in which the first and second partial door panels are each disposed in the common plane blocking access through the door opening, and an open state in which the first and second partial door panels are each disposed out of the common plane.

A door assembly may include a first sidelite configured to be operably coupled to a first door jamb, a second sidelite configured to be operably coupled to a second door jamb where the first and second sidelites are disposed in a common plane and define a door opening between the first and second sidelites, a first sliding panel, a second sliding panel where the first and second sliding panels are movable from a closed position disposing the first and second sliding panels to block access through the door opening and an open position in which the first sliding panel is proximate the first sidelite and the second sliding panel is proximate the second sidelite, a first partial door panel, and a second partial door panel. Disclosed is a vertical profile for an automated sliding door. The profile is formed by front and rear walls connected by nose and tail walls. The nose and tail walls are thicker than the front and rear walls to provide enhanced resistance to deflection in the through-door direction. The walls are formed as an aluminum extrusion. The arrangement and thickness of the walls provides strength sufficient to withstand high wind loads without the installation of reinforcing members. Fillets may be provided where the walls are joined to lessen the tendency for the nose and tail walls deflect, further strengthen the profile.

Strengthened automatic sliding door

A door package or door assembly includes multiple door panels. A top frame member has one or more tracks upon which one or more door panels may slide relative to a door opening to close the door opening when in a fully extended position and to open the doorway when in a retracted position. When in its retracted or open position, a plurality of door panels may also pivot about a pivot plate attached to the floor to a broken open position essentially perpendicular to the plane of the doorway opening. Upper and lower magnetic latch assemblies automatically decouple to permit pivoting of the entire door panel assembly when the panels are fully retracted, and when the panels are not fully retracted, are automatically actuated to prevent pivoting of the door panel assembly.

Automatically actuated door lock system

A sliding door and floor guide assembly including a floor guide and at least one door panel including a pin guide assembly, and a guide shoe. The guide shoe has a curved bottom surface and the rail has a corresponding curved upper surface so that the two surfaces can engage one another. The pin guide assembly includes a spring that exerts a downward force to keep the guide shoe and rail in contact with one another. The guide shoe also includes at least one beveled surface adjacent the region where the guide shoe and rail engage. This beveled surface causes debris on the rail to be moved away from the rail when the door is opened or closed so that the debris does not interfere with the operation of the sliding door.

In particular, the invention relates to a door management system for an intensive care unit comprising at least one control unit configured to receive signals from at least one external device and to control the opening and closing of the automatic intensive care unit doors based on the received signals.
