Systems and apparatus for heating or cooling food. A heating and cooling system for operative connection to a well includes a first manifold having a plurality of openings, each allowing a seal to be made against a first surface of a Peltier chip, and defines a flow path for a heat transfer fluid which directly contacts the first surfaces of a plurality of Peltier chips. The fluid circulates through tubing from the manifold to the well and connects to a flow space of a tray disposed therein. A second opposite manifold may be joined to the first manifold to form a block and defines a second flow path allowing direct contact with the second surfaces of the plurality of Peltier chips. The fluid circulates through tubing from the second manifold to a radiator. The manifolds may be joined to form a manifold block. The trays may be interchangeable.

Food service apparatus with peltier heating and cooling systems

Systems for heating or cooling a food service container to an appropriate temperature for service or transport, and cabinets including such systems. A first manifold allows a seal to be made against a first surface of one or more Peltier chips and defines a flow path for a heat transfer fluid which directly contacts the first surfaces of the Peltier chips. The fluid circulates through tubing from the first manifold to a first radiator. A second opposite manifold defines a flow path for a heat transfer fluid which directly contacts the second surfaces of the Peltier chips. The fluid then circulates through tubing from the second manifold to a second radiator. The first radiator may be disposed inside, and the second radiator outside, the cabinet. Application of current in a first direction to the Peltier chips can heat the cabinet and reversal of the current may cool the cabinet.

Heating and cooling system for a food storage cabinet

A device for dispensing a medium is disclosed. The device comprises an elongated body including a chamber for containing a medium and an outlet through which the medium exits the device into an oral or nasal opening. A dispensing system selectively places the chamber and the outlet in communication, causing medium to flow out of the device.

Systems and apparatus for heating or cooling food to an appropriate temperature for service using a standard food service container, such as a chafing dish or food cart. A thermally conductive plate has a plurality of Peltier chips attached thereto to drive a temperature difference. The Peltier chips are in thermally conductive contact with a heat exchanger. A heat transfer liquid circulates through tubing in the heat exchanger and a separate radiator, perpetuating the temperature difference at the plate. The heat exchanger and radiator may be spaced apart by a gap. One or more fans may be placed to encourage airflow through the radiator. A coolant reservoir and pump may be included.

Apparatus for heating and cooling at food serving stations

A computer desk may be utilized with computer keyboard terminal equipment or other devices requiring manual manipulation by a user. The desk permits the efficient support of such devices without sacrifice of the desk top working surface available to the user. The computer desk provides a support surface immediately below the work surface on the desk top. This support surface extends toward the desk-user a greater distance than does the desk top work surface. Thus, there is no interference between the desk top work surface and the user's access to equipment emplaced upon the support surface. An extension of the support surface to the side provides additional support areas for associated computer devices or the like without sacrifice of desk top work surface area. Storage areas beneath the desk top work surface and the support surface are provided to store materials and devices of use to a user of the computer desk.
