Methods, systems and techniques for the accurate measurement breath-borne biomarkers are disclosed. Such methods, systems and techniques may be used for the purposes of detection and/or measurement in breath samples of biomarkers.

Biomarker detection from breath samples

An example breath collection and sampling device disclosed herein comprises a cartridge housing having a breath capture module, and a rotary valve operatively coupling a mouthpiece with the breath capture module. The rotary valve can have an open position where breath of a user can pass through the rotary valve, across capture sites of the breath capture module, and into a vacuum port, and a closed position for sealing the breath capture module from fluid passing through the rotary valve, while allowing the breath capture module to be exposed to a reagent for subsequent analysis of contents within the captured breath.

Devices, methods, and systems for collection of volatile organic compounds

A needle free injector system and a method for delivering a formulation using this system are disclosed. The method comprises actuating a needle free injector to pressurize a liquid formulation and force the formulation through an orifice in a skin puncture phase followed by injection of the formulation during a delivery phase. The skin puncture phase is defined by a pressure profile vs. time curve after actuation which has a main pressure peak with a maximum pressure. The delivery phase occurs at a lower pressure than the maximum pressure of the main peak pressure. The device may have one or more orifices and pressurizing the formulation during the puncture phase and delivery phase to extrude the formulation through each orifice is structured so as to improve characteristics of needle free delivery.

Needle-free injectors and design parameters thereof that optimize injection performance

A needle-free injector device comprising a latch having a safe position which disables the triggering of the device, and a ready position which restrains movement of a dispensing member but enables triggering and a triggered position which permits movement of the dispensing member is disclosed. An additional safety mechanism blocks the triggering of the device until removed. A cap is provided to maintain the sterility and stability of the drug formulation and is configured such that the cap removal is required prior to placing the device in a ready to trigger state.

Device for readying a needle free injector for delivery

The invention provides a method of rapidly machining multiple, often similar or nearly identical, features using a LASER machining system. During LASER machining, light of a wavelength and intensity that will modify the workpiece to be machined is directed at the workpiece and interacts to produce the desired change. If several features are to be machined, the processing speed can be increased by operating on a multiplicity of features at once. In one embodiment of the invention, this is achieved by separating the LASER beam into multiple beams and machining the desired features simultaneously.
