A system comprising a database and a processor. The database may be configured to communicate with a plurality of capture devices, store metadata received from the plurality of capture devices and track characteristics of objects in the metadata received over time. The processor may be configured to determine animation details for the objects in response to the characteristics tracked over time in the metadata, re-create a scene in response to the animation details and an absolute location of objects in the metadata at a particular time range and generate an animation based on the scene. The metadata may be communicated by the capture devices without captured video. The animation may provide a visualization similar to the captured video using only the metadata.

Dynamic roadway scene re-creation using video analytics, metadata and interpolation

A system comprising a capture device and a database. The capture device may be configured to capture video, perform video analysis on the captured video to identify characteristics about objects in the captured video and determine an absolute location of the objects, store metadata separate from the captured video in response to the video analysis and communicate with a wireless communication device. The database may be configured to communicate with the wireless communication device, store the metadata received from the wireless communication device, re-create a scene in response to the characteristics and absolute location of the objects in the metadata and generate an animation based on the scene using the metadata received over time. The metadata may be communicated without the captured video. The animation may provide a visualization similar to the captured video using only the metadata.

Roadway scene re-creation using video analytics and metadata

An apparatus comprising a processor and a memory. The processor may be configured to (i) receive video frames captured by a capture device and (ii) perform video analysis on the video frames to extract metadata corresponding to objects detected in the video frames. The memory may be configured to (i) store co-ordinates corresponding to a plurality of regions of the video frames and (ii) provide temporary storage for the video frames to enable the processor to perform the video analysis. The video analysis may perform a different amount of processing for detecting the objects on each of the plurality of regions. One of the regions corresponds to a portion of the video frame comprising a hood of a vehicle.

Dynamic partitioning of input frame buffer to optimize resources of an object detection and recognition system

A system comprising a capture device and a database. The capture device may be configured to capture video, implement a processor to perform video analysis on the captured video to extract metadata, and store the captured video. The database may be configured to receive the metadata from the wireless communication device, analyze the metadata, determine a location of an available parking space in response to the analysis of the metadata and a current location of a parking user and communicate the location of the available parking space to the parking user. The metadata may be extracted by the processor to generate information about objects present in the video and uploaded to the database for storage without the captured video. The processor may detect a status of a plurality of parking spaces and determine whether each of the plurality of parking spaces is the available parking space.

Crowd sourced real-time parking space detection and notification

A system comprising a capture device and a database. The capture device may be configured to (i) capture video, (ii) perform video analysis to extract metadata corresponding to the captured video and (iii) communicate with a wireless communication device. The database may be configured to (i) communicate with the wireless communication device, (ii) store the metadata received from the wireless communication device, (iii) generate search results for a user based on the metadata and (iv) provide the user at least one of (a) the metadata and (b) the captured video based on the search results. The metadata may be used to determine license plates present in the captured video. The capture device may transmit the captured video to the database via the wireless communication device based on a request by the user.

Extracting and transmitting video analysis metadata for a remote database

A system comprising a database and a user device. The database may be configured to (i) store metadata generated in response to objects detected in a video, (ii) store a confidence level associated with the metadata, (iii) provide to a plurality of users (a) data portions of the video and (b) a request for feedback, (iv) receive the feedback and (v) update the confidence level associated with the metadata in response to the feedback. The user device may be configured to (i) view the data portions, (ii) accept input to receive the feedback from one of said plurality of users and (iii) communicate the feedback to the database. The confidence level may indicate a likelihood of correctness of the objects detected in response to video analysis performed on the video. The database may track user statistics for the plurality of users based on the feedback.

System and method to increase confidence of roadway object recognition through gamified distributed human feedback

An apparatus including a location device and a processor. The location device may be configured to determine location coordinates of the apparatus. The processor may be configured to receive video frames captured by a capture device, perform video analysis on the video frames to detect objects in the video frames and extract metadata corresponding to the objects detected in the video frames, correlate the metadata with the location coordinates, determine a distance from the apparatus to the objects in the video frames and calculate an absolute location of the objects in response to the distance and the location coordinates. The distance may be determined by comparing a size of the objects detected in the video frames with a known size of the objects. The absolute location for the objects in the video frames may be added to the metadata.

Determining location coordinates of a vehicle based on license plate metadata and video analytics

A system comprising a capture device and a database. The capture device may be configured to (i) capture video and (ii) perform video analysis to extract metadata corresponding to the captured video. The database may be configured to (i) store the metadata, (ii) store an alert list comprising a search criteria, (iii) compare the metadata with the search criteria, (iv) communicate the alert list to the capture device if a match is detected between the metadata and the search criteria and (v) communicate an image to a subscriber associated with the alert list. The metadata may be used to determine objects detected in the video. The capture device may perform a cross-reference of the metadata with the search criteria after the alert list is received. The capture device may generate the image in response to a match of the metadata with the search criteria.

System and method for uploading still images of matching plates in response to an alert hit list using distributed LPR acquisition

An apparatus includes a transceiver circuit and a first controller circuit. The transceiver circuit may be configured to receive an uplink channel and transmit a downlink channel. The first controller circuit configured to (i) control operation of an unmanned aerial vehicle and a camera in response to commands received via the uplink channel, (ii) capture video data from the camera, (iii) generate a first encoded video stream having a first resolution and a second encoded video stream having a second resolution, (iv) store the first encoded video stream with time stamp information on a storage medium, (v) transmit the second encoded video stream and the time stamp information via the downlink channel, (vi) receive encoded audio information associated with previously transmitted time stamp information via the uplink channel, and (vii) combine the encoded audio information with the first encoded video stream stored on the storage medium using the associated time stamp information.

A system comprising a capture device and a database. The capture device may be configured to (i) capture video, (ii) perform video analysis to extract metadata corresponding to the captured video, (iii) store the captured video data and (iv) communicate with a wireless device. The database may be configured to (i) generate search results for a user based on the metadata and (ii) provide the user (a) the metadata and (b) the video based on the search results. The metadata may be used to determine license plates present in the video. The database may provide the capture device an interrupt request to preserve a portion of the video based on the search results. The capture device may flag the portion of the video to prevent overwriting the portion of the video in response to the interrupt request.

Preserving locally stored video data in response to metadata-based search requests on a cloud-based database

A system includes an audio broadcast device, headphones and an interface device. The audio broadcast device may be configured to generate a plurality of audio tracks. The headphones may be configured to perform noise cancellation of ambient audio, decode one of the plurality of audio tracks selected by a user and playback a personalized audio track in response to the selected audio track and user settings. The interface device may be configured to receive the user settings and enable the user to select one of the audio tracks. The headphones may receive the selected audio track from the audio broadcast device in response to the selection using the interface. The user settings may be applied to the selected audio track to generate the personalized audio track.

Theater noise canceling headphones

An apparatus comprising an interface to a sensor and a processor. The sensor may be configured to generate a video signal having a first field of view based on a targeted view from a vehicle. The processor may be configured to (A) receive the video signal from the interface, (B) generate a second field of view from the video signal based on (i) the first field of view, (ii) a shape of a display and (iii) an input and (C) present the second field of view from the video signal to the display. The second field of view is a cropped version of the first field of view. The second field of view is generated by adjusting video data in the first field of view. Portions of the first field of view not in the second field of view are hidden portions of the video signal.
