A foam sensor system includes a container bounding a compartment. A foam sensor assembly is mounted on the container and includes: a base being secured to the container; a foam contact being spaced apart from the base and disposed within the compartment of the container, at least a portion of the foam contact having a first diameter; and a transition member extending between the base and the foam contact with at least a portion of the transition member being openly exposed within the compartment of the container, at least a portion of the transition member having a second diameter that is smaller than the first diameter, the foam contact and transition member being connected together so that an electrical signal can pass therethrough.

Reactor foam sensor systems and methods of use

A foam sensor system includes a flexible bag comprised of a polymeric material and bounding a compartment. A foam sensor assembly is mounted on the flexible bag and includes a foam contact disposed within the compartment of the flexible bag. A ground assembly is mounted on the flexible bag and includes a ground contact disposed within the compartment of the flexible bag, the foam sensor assembly and the ground assembly being configured so that an electrical potential can be applied between the foam contact and the ground contact.

A valve assembly in accordance with the present invention includes a head portion and a body portion. A throughbore extends through both the head portion and the body portion. A normal fluid flow path is formed within the valve assembly to provide for the controlled exit of a fluid. The valve assembly also includes an automatic pressure-relieving mechanism. The pressure-relieving mechanism includes a disc designed to burst or rupture at a predetermined pressure and an over-pressure fluid flow path for controlling the egress of over-pressure fluid.

A rapid infusion system for the intravenous delivery of fluids at standard and rapid flow rates. The system includes a pump assembly, a drive assembly to power the pump, and a fluid containment system that keeps the infused fluid out of direct contact with the pump assembly and that is preferably disposable and removable. In one embodiment the drive assembly includes a differential drive that interacts with more than one motor. In one embodiment, the pump assembly includes a roller pump and the pump chamber is a collapsible, preformed tube that is preferably attached to a pump cartridge frame. Optionally, the system includes a self-leveling drip chamber and the fluid containment system is disposable and includes a pump cartridge containing the drip chamber and the pump chamber, I.V. tubing, outlet infusion tubing, and a heater cartridge.

An apparatus for attaching an electronic device to one or more of the retaining elements of a loose-leaf support assembly. The attachment apparatus includes a securing element and an attachment element. The securing element mutually engages a corresponding feature of the electronic device, such as a slotted recess proximate, adjacent, or in a peripheral edge of the electronic device. The attachment element includes apertures to facilitate the loose attachment of the attachment apparatus to the retaining elements of a loose-leaf support assembly.

An apparatus for attaching an electronic device to a loose-leaf support assembly. The attachment apparatus includes a housing, a receptacle defined in the housing, a capture element adjacent the receptacle, and an attachment member. The capture element includes a retaining lip at one edge of the receptacle and a resilient engagement clip adjacent another edge of the receptacle. The capture element retains an electronic device within the receptacle. The attachment apparatus may also include one or more retaining slots along peripheral edges thereof to secure an attachment member to the housing. The attachment apparatus may also include one or more access slots formed therethrough so as to facilitate communication of an electronic device secured to the attachment apparatus with external electronic devices.

Method and apparatus for securing an electronic device to a loose-leaf support assembly

A fiberscope is constructed with one or more of a pivoted eyepiece, a cannula insertion assembly capable of housing a retractable fiber bundle and/or delivering distention fluid, a disposable sheath and seal assembly and an encasement for a fiber bundle. The distal end of the encased bundle can be advanced or withdrawn from its protective sheath. When advanced, it may be reoriented in direction by means of linkage to structure which can be manipulated from outside the instrument.
