A downhole valve includes a housing, and a sleeve positioned within the housing. The sleeve has a first axial end, a second axial end, and a seat positioned between the first and second ends. The sleeve defines an opening facing in a radial direction. The sleeve prevents fluid flow in an opposite radial direction, away from the opening. The valve also includes a retaining element coupled to or integral with the sleeve, and a first obstructing member positioned in the sleeve and movable between the seat and the retaining element. In a first position, the first obstructing member engages the seat and prevents fluid flow through the housing. In a second position, the first obstructing member is separated apart from the seat such that at least a portion of the opening is axially between the first obstructing member and the first obstructing member.

Ball-type downhole valve

A camera apparatus that is at least partially incorporated within a downhole tool to be disposed to a subterranean location by a running arrangement. The camera apparatus includes a camera sensor for capturing one or more visual images of a subterranean location and a memory storage operably associated with camera sensor, the camera sensor providing one or more visual images to the storage memory.

Downhole camera

A valve on an inner string can only be closed with multiple movements in opposed directions that occur after a predetermined force is held for a finite time. Holding the force against resistance eventually allows movement that arms the valve. A set down and pickup force will then close the valve. The surrounding string has a constriction that interacts with a j-slot to rotate a wedge with a first peak into alignment with a peak on a second wedge that can only translate against a spring bias. The second wedge is eccentrically linked to a ball that rotates between and open and a closed position.

Isolation valve for subterranean use

A dissolvable tool includes a body having at least a portion configured to dissolve in a fluid, and a barrier connected to the body. The barrier is configured to slidably fluidically seal to a structure that the body and the barrier are movable within to maintain a volume of the fluid between the barrier and the body while the barrier and the body are moved through the structure.

Dissolvable tool and method of dissolving same

A counter assembly including an actuatable component. A counter component is disposed with the actuatable component and initially in a first position relative the actuatable component and movable with respect to the actuatable component. A lock member is engaged in a track formed between the actuatable component and the counter component. The lock member is operatively arranged for enabling relative movement between the actuatable component and the lock member in a first direction only and between the counter component and the lock member in a second direction only. At least one iteration of travel of the counter component to a second position relative the actuatable component and back to the first position progresses the lock member incrementally along the track. The actuatable component is immovably locked to the counter component by the lock member when the lock member has reached an end of the track.

Counter device for selectively catching plugs

A pulse fracturing device includes a normally open first valve and a normally closed second valve in a housing. The first valve is configured to close at a predetermined level of hydrodynamic force exerted on the first valve and to open when the force drops below the predetermined level. The first valve, when open, is configured to allow fluid flow out from the housing. The second valve is configured to open at a predetermined pressure within the housing and to close when pressure drops below the predetermined pressure. The second valve, when open, is configured to allow fluid flow out from the housing.

Pulse fracturing devices and methods

A fracturing and gravel packing tool has features that prevent well swabbing when the tool is picked up with respect to a set isolation packer. An upper or multi-acting circulation valve allows switching between the squeeze and circulation positions without risk of closing the low bottom hole pressure ball valve. The low bottom hole pressure ball valve can only be closed with multiple movements in opposed direction that occur after a predetermined force is held for a finite time to allow movement that arms the low bottom hole pressure ball valve. The multi-acting circulation valve can prevent fluid loss to the formation when being set down with the crossover tool supported or on the reciprocating set down device and the multi-acting circulation valve is closed without risk of closing the wash pipe valve.

A fracturing and gravel packing tool has features that prevent well swabbing when the tool is picked up with respect to a set isolation packer. The wash pipe valve can only be closed with multiple movements in opposed direction that occur after a predetermined force is held for a finite time to allow movement that arms the wash pipe valve. The jet valve can prevent fluid loss to the formation when being set down whether the crossover tool is supported on the packer or on the smart collet.

A pressure orienting swivel arrangement includes a freely rotatable weight assembly to orient to gravity prior to being urged to a fixed position. In the fixed position, a pin adapter is reactably interengagable with the weight assembly to orient the pin adapter to the weight assembly without reorienting the weight assembly from gravity. A method for orienting a downhole tool is also included.
