A variety of systems, methods and compositions are disclosed, including, in one method, providing a foamed cement composition comprising a hydraulic cement, water, a foaming surfactant, a gas, and a nanocellulose foam stabilizing additive; placing the foamed cement composition in a selected location; and allowing the foamed cement composition to set.

An expansive additive composition for use in Portland cements and a method of using such an additive composition is provided. The additive composition can include a calcium aluminate cement additive and a lithium compound. The additive composition is capable of producing expansion in set cements when the temperature is at or below room temperature and minimizes the amount of calcium aluminate cement additive needed.

A fluid composition comprising: (A) a liquid hardenable resin component comprising a resin; and (B) a hardening agent component comprising a hardening agent for the resin; wherein at least one of the resin or the hardening agent comprises a molecule having at least one heavy atom. The substitution of one or more heavy atoms that have a higher atomic weight than the other atoms of the molecule, increases the molecular mass of the resin or hardening agent, and hence, the density of the fluid composition. A method of treating a treatment zone of a well, the method comprising: introducing the treatment fluid into a well bore; and allowing the treatment fluid to form a hardened mass the well bore.

Heavy-atom resin formulation for use in subterranean wells

A fluid composition comprising: (A) a liquid hardenable resin component comprising an epoxy resin; (B) a hardening agent component comprising a hardening agent for the epoxy resin; (C) an impact modifier component comprising an impact modifier selected to impart an increased impact resistance after hardening of the epoxy resin. A method of treating a treatment zone of a well, the method comprising: introducing the treatment fluid into a well bore; and allowing the treatment fluid to form a hardened mass the well bore.

Epoxy resin formulations containing an impact modifier for use in subterranean wells

Curable resin compositions comprising an epoxy resin and a hydrazide curing agent and methods for using the curable resin compositions in cementing and/or remedial operations in a subterranean formation are provided. In one embodiment, the method may comprise combining an epoxy resin and a curing agent to form a curable resin composition, wherein the curing agent comprises a hydrazide curing agent; introducing the curable resin composition into a subterranean formation; and allowing the curable resin composition to at least partially cure.

A compatibilized cement composition for the treatment of a subterranean formation and a method of treating a subterranean formation are disclosed. The method can include placing in a subterranean formation a composition including a compatibilized cement composition. The compatibilized cement composition can include a curable resin or cured product thereof, a cement slurry, and a compatibilizer composition, a reaction product thereof, or a combination thereof. The compatibilizer composition can include a substituted or unsubstituted C-Chydrocarbon including at least one internal olefin and a polyether.

Compatibilized cement composition for treatment of a subterranean formation

Methods of subterranean cementing involving cement compositions comprising particulate foamed elastomers and associated methods are provided. In one embodiment, the methods comprise introducing a cement composition into a subterranean location, wherein the cement composition comprises a hydraulic cement, a particulate foamed elastomer, and an aqueous fluid; and allowing the cement composition to set in the subterranean location.

An expansive cement composition including a Portland cement having a calcium aluminate cement additive and a lithium compound additive is provided.
