The disclosure provides for a method including: a) forming a layered tubular member () by placing one or more outer layers () about an inner layer () and joining at one or more seams () along a length of the layered tubular member, wherein the one or more outer layers include a first resin impregnated therein; b) applying the first resin or a second resin at the one or more seams; c) creating one or more fillets () along the one or more seams with the first resin, the second resin, or an adhesive; and d) curing the first resin, the second resin, and the adhesive so that the layered tubular member, the first resin, the second resin, and the adhesive form a composite structure having a tubular shape.

A processing mold is suitable for preparing a tire support. One processing mold that is particularly advantageous includes a processing mold having a first mold body opposing a second mold body, and the first and second mold bodies are aligned through a mandrel. In one embodiment, a first mold body includes a locking member suitable for locking the mandrel to the first body. In this embodiment, the mandrel is movable between the first and second mold bodies such that when a processing mold is opened, the first mold body and the mandrel can separate from the second mold body. A method of using a processing mold by aligning a first mold body and a second mold body through a mandrel and a method of releasing a tire support from a processing mold by locking a mandrel to a first mold body and separating the first and second mold bodies are also particularly advantageous.

Method for preparing a tire support

The present invention provides a unitary run flat tire (RFT) reinforcement using filament material that is formed into a relatively rigid shape. The reinforcement is insertable into a mold for an RFT support and can maintain the needed structural rigidity for such insertion. Further, the invention provides an RFT support that is molded and includes the RFT reinforcement. The invention also provides a wheel assembly including a tire, a rim, and an RFT support between the rim and the tire, where the support includes the RFT reinforcement. The RFT support can have a colored indicator formed or subsequently applied thereto to indicate one or more attributes of the support.

The present invention provides a unitary run flat tire (RFT) reinforcement that is formed into a relatively rigid shape. A method of assembling a door and a door assembly comprising an outer door shell and inner door supporting member therefor. The supporting member is hinged at one end to a door frame. The other end of the supporting member is slidably accommodated in and occupies the outer door shell through an aperture in a lateral edge of the door shell. The supporting member can carry a window glass holder, such as a channel strip screwed to the supporting member, and this combination is called a cartridge assembly. The cartridge assembly provides specific benefits for automobile and truck door applications where the cartridge assembly can have attached to it various window and latch components; such as the window glass regulator (including any electric motor and wiring therefor), the window glass guides, the window glass, door latch parts, latch operating and locking parts (including any electric actuators and wiring therefor) as well as a side impact resistant beam; before the outer door shell is slid over the cartridge assembly. The invention eliminates the need to manually install the various window and latch components inside a hollow door through apertures in the door.

A vehicle door and reinforcement assembly therefor comprising a reinforcing beam hinged at one edge to the vehicle and slideably accommodated in a cavity provided within the door. The door and beam are assembled by first hinging the beam to the vehicle and thereafter sliding the door onto the beam. Suitable fasteners secure the door to the beam.
