A mechanism for securing a seat carriage at a plurality of recline angles relative to a seat base. Embodiments of the mechanism are attached to a seat carriage and include a coupling device, which has a plurality of recesses which may be selectively engaged with or disengaged from one or more rods attached to the seat base. A handle operates the coupling device.

Recline mechanism for a child restraint seat

A child restraint seat is provided including a seat shell adapted to be coupled to a vehicle seat, a child restraint harness coupled to the seat shell, and a harness adjustment mechanism. A shoulder strap mounting mechanism permits the height of the shoulder strap mounts to be varied to adapt the seat to accommodate children of different sizes. The mounting mechanism is easily operable from the front of the seat without requiring operation of latching mechanism or the rethreading of straps.

A car seat having adjustable shoulder harnesses including a body having a seat pan and a seat back, the seat back having a front side and a back side. The car seat includes a pair of shoulder harnesses shaped and located to fit over the shoulder of an occupant located on the body. Each shoulder harness is movable relative to the seat pan to raise or lower the height of the shoulder harnesses. The car seat further includes a locking mechanism for locking each shoulder harness in place to set the height of each shoulder harness relative to the seat pan, wherein the locking mechanism can be accessed from the front side of the seat back.
