A core of the electric motorcycle includes a monocoque that partially encloses a housing for a motor and gearbox. Separate suspension mounts attach to the core, which permits them to be exchanged for other mounts to provide different suspension geometries. A power electronics unit attaches to the front of the monocoque. The shape of the monocoque allows for the proper positioning of the center of gravity of the motorcycle in order to provide a balanced ride.

A chassis for an electric vehicle is disclosed that functions as a heat sink to cool an electric motor and motor controller of the electric vehicle. The chassis includes one or more tubes that are connected to an inner surface of the chassis. As coolant fluid flows through the tubes, heat from the coolant is dissipated into the chassis.

A motorcycle frame includes a headstock assembly that allows for a more efficient assembly process of joining the headstock assembly to the motorcycle frame. The headstock assembly includes multiple headstock components that are welded to the frame. The design of the headstock assembly increases the surface area of the headstock assembly that is welded to the frame to increase rigidity.

This invention comprises a frame for an electric motorcycle. Electric motorcycles have vastly different component requirements compared to internal combustion engine motorcycles, and, therefore, require a radical redesign of the frame in order to maximize the efficiency of the system.

An electric motorcycle frame for an electric motorcycle is disclosed. The electric motorcycle frame comprises side structures including openings. A torsion tube configured to house an electric motor is connected to the openings of the side structures and the torsion tube is a stressed member of the electric motorcycle frame.

An exercise device for achieving desired abdominal contractions during exercise movement includes a back support and a pair of leg blades removably attached to the back support. The device includes an adjustable back blade attached to the back support and extending upward from the lower end along a centerline of the back support, and a neck support assembly attached to the back blade.

A binding assembly for attaching a boot to a snowboard, designed in a manner to avoid cavities that can accumulate ice and snow and defeat its operation. The system includes first and second boot mounted bales in the form of rigid loops that extend from each side of the boot soles, and a pair of bindings attached to the snowboard. Each binding has a base including elongated, slotted holes located on the circumference of a circle through which bolts are placed to secure the base to the snowboard with a friction washer therebetween. The elongated holes allow for rotational adjustment of the binding. A hook-shaped structure extends from one side of the base with the hook facing outward. On the opposite side of the base is a camming structure with a downward and outwardly sloping surface ending in a bale-receiving notch. A spring loaded latch is pivotally mounted outboard and above the notch and includes a lever with a generally outwardly protruding handle on one side of the lever pivot axis, and a bale latching portion on the other side of the pivot. By placing the first bale over the hook and then thrusting the second bale downward against the latching portion and into engagement with the camming structure, the first bale is drawn into engagement with the hook as the second bale is guided by the sloping surface into the notch where it is retained by the latch. In order to release the binding, the user simply rotates the latch upward to free the bales.

A dual action buckle ( ) which employs a cable tightening action and a strap tensioning action to tighten two separate portions of a boot, notably a snowboard boot ( ). Thus, the boot ( ) may be tightened around the foot and/or particular functionalities of the boot ( ) may be engaged to a preset condition with one simple buckle closing action. During rest periods when the applied tightening and/or functionalities are not needed, they may be deactivated with one simple buckle opening action, giving relief to the foot, greater ease of walking, etc. The invention includes a primary lever ( ), a secondary lever pivotally connected to the primary lever ( ) and a pulley ( ). The pulley ( ) acts to double the cable retraction action of the secondary lever ( ). This allows the dual action buckle ( ) to be made much smaller than would otherwise be the case.

A structural interface for a sports shoe is described. An implementation of the structural interface includes a lateral beam member and a medial beam member connected together by a bridge member. The lateral and medial beam members may each include at least one mounting location for connection means and/or attachment devices. The connection means or attachment devices mate with sports apparatus, for example, snowboard bindings or bike pedals.
