The present application is a neurological feedback system and method. The neurological feedback provides a trigger event to evoke a first neurological response from the brain of a user and a feedback event to evoke a second neurological response from the brain of a user to counter the first neurological response. As such, when the trigger event evokes a positive first neurological response, such that, for example, dopamine is released by the brain, the feedback event evokes a negative second neurological response, such that, for example, less or no dopamine is released by the brain in response the trigger event (and the converse). The neurological feedback may be useful to break additions or train a brain not to crave certain things.

Systems and methods to disassociate events and memory induced rewards

The present application provides a solar canopy station having a processor. The processor receives requests for delivery of goods or services and transmits the delivery request to a provider along with information regarding the processor location. The provider provides the requested goods or services. The station also is provided with a mechanism to couple the solar canopy to a battery, which may be a vehicle battery such as an electric car or electric scooter. The solar canopy would provide electrical energy either directly to the battery or through a power conditioner and, optionally, a storage facility. The solar canopy, storage facility, or power conditioner may be provided to power equipment associated with providing services such as, for example, power refrigeration units or freezer units to allow delivery of perishable and frozen goods.

Electric vehicle charging station adapted for the delivery of goods and services

The technology of the present application provides a solar canopy having a cavity. The cavity defines at least one space that is sized and shaped to receive a high capacity battery, of which electric vehicle batteries are one example. The cavity includes an opening to allow access to the space. Contacts are arranged in the cavity to align with contacts of a battery inserted into the space to electrically couple the battery to the power electronics or power conditioner, which includes a power conversion system, and inverter, and a converter or transformer. The cavity also includes a heat dissipation system.

Solar canopy with integral storage compartment to receive high capacity batteries

The technology of the application provides an anti-theft self-checkout system to facilitate theft detection. The technology includes a post-purchase product location located in a field of view of an image detector. The post-purchase product location includes a scale to generate an actual weight of purchased products. The technology further includes a scanner that identifies products for purchase where the scanner is within the field of view. The image detector detects and tracks the movement of at least one of limbs or products through the field of view to the post-purchase product location. A processor compares the actual movement to a database of movements and generates a movement violation signal based on the comparison. The processor calculates a running weight of scanned products purchased and compares the running weight to the actual weight and generates a weight violation signal if the running weight and actual weight are outside of a tolerance.

Self-checkout anti-theft device

The present invention provides spinous process implant and associated methods. In one aspect of the invention the implant limits the maximum spacing between the spinous processes. In another aspect of the invention, a spacer has at least one transverse opening to facilitate tissue in-growth. In another aspect of the invention, an implant includes a spacer and separate extensions engageable with the spacer. In another aspect of the invention, instrumentation for inserting the implant is provided. In other aspects of the invention, methods for treating spine disease are provided.

A garment is provided with a tube that may be used to facilitate placement of needle electrodes into a patient to facilitate intraoperative monitoring during surgical procedures.

An implantable device having a power source is provided. The power source uses reverse electrowetting technology to generate a charge to power the implantable device. The power source includes a flexible, non-conductive substrate having a first side and a second side opposite the first side with a channel between the first and second sides. Electrodes are arranged about the channel in a predefined pattern. A liquid is contained in the channel. The liquid includes a dielectric liquid and a conductive liquid that do not mix. The electric change is generated by moving the liquid back and forth across the electrodes. The force to pump or move the liquid is provided by organic means, such as, for example, the change in blood pressure between systolic and diastolic, the expansion and contraction of an organ, or the movement of a muscle.

System and method to electrically charge implantable devices

A ski or snowboard having an interface power source is provided. The power source uses reverse electrowetting technology to generate a charge to power devices connected to the interface. The power source includes a flexible, non-conductive substrate having a first side and a second side opposite the first side with a channel between the first and second sides. Electrodes are arranged about the channel in a predefined pattern. A liquid is contained in the channel. The liquid includes a dielectric liquid and a conductive liquid that do not mix. The electric change is generated by moving the liquid back and forth across the electrodes. The force to pump or move the liquid is provided by motion of the ski or snowboard.

Generation of electrical energy in a ski or snowboard

A garment is provided with an electrode and indicia to facilitate placement of the garment. The indicia is used to orient the garment such that the electrode is placed in precise orientation with respect to a stimulation site to facilitate intraoperative monitoring during surgical procedures.

A cervical plate having backout or reverse threading protection is provided. The cervical plate has one screw bores through which at least one screw extends to anchor the cervical plate to a vertebra. The plate further has at least one channel with at least one engaging edge. A cover plate has a cover plate that extends over a portion of a screw head of the screw. The cover plate also has a locking extension with at least one locking edge at a distal end. The locking extension is inserted into the channel such that the engaging edge and the locking edge engage and hold the cover plate such that the cover plate edge is substantially adjacent the portion of the screw head preventing the screw from backing out.

Cervical plate

An endotracheal tube usable for intraopertive monitoring of the laryngeal nerve. The endotracheal tube includes at least one electrical contact that is movable along and about an exterior sidewall of the endotracheal tube and connected to the exterior sidewall by a connector when the electrode is placed in a position to optimize the conductivity between the nerve being monitored and the electrical contact. The electrical contact may be connected using a locking tube, tape, adhesive, etc.

In another aspect, instrumentation for inserting the implant is provided. In other aspects, methods for treating spine disease are provided.

Spinous process implants, instruments, and methods

An intervertebral disc device is provided to support or repair one or both of the disc annulus and the disc nucleus. The intervertebral disc device includes an annulus support and an elongated member to support the disc nucleus. The disc annulus support has an elongated wire and an annulus closure. The disc nucleus has an elongated member that is expandable. Any of the devices can be loaded with biologics. Moreover, any of the devices may include a scarring factor to promote fibrous growth.
