A printed circuit board which is easily compensation adjustable. The PCB has compensator traces which are directly above and parallel to each other. Each of the layers of the PCB contains compensator traces which are aligned in a plane such that each of the compensating traces are aligned in a direction that is perpendicular to the respective planes. Thus, compensation can be effected in each of the various layers of the PCB by drilling one hole for each of the layers since the compensation traces are vertically aligned.

A protective cable cover separates cable routing from patchcords and cross-connect wire in a wiring trough. The cable cover is placed over the cable conductors on a wiring block cable organizer. The cable cover may be removed to allow for the addition or replacement of building cables without having to remove any adjacent patchcords. A circuit designation strip and row marking pads are provided to designate rows and circuit connections. A strike engages a latch on a patchcord plug to releasably retain the plug in engagement with the connecting block. Mounting holes are formed integral with the cable cover to engage latches on the cable organizer for releasably mounting the cable cover on the cable organizer.

Cable cover

The present invention provides an impact shaft for use in a pneumatic wire termination tool. The tool has a handle, a pneumatically driven piston and a head frame for engaging and terminating a plurality of wires to a corresponding connector at the same time. The impact shaft includes a plurality of coaxially arranged cylindrical sections positioned end to end, including a dowel pin positioned at a first end and a head frame locator having the dowel pin projecting from a first end and an extension portion projecting from a second end. The dowel pin and the head frame locator are sized to operatively engage the head frame. A spring register portion includes a first end from which the extension portion projects, and also includes a plurality of facets arranged for engagement with a biased portion of the tool so as to maintain the rotational orientation of the impact shaft relative to the handle. An air barrel shaft projecting from a second end of the spring register is operatively engaged by the pneumatic wire termination tool.
