The invention relates to a series of novel alkoxylated fluoro esters which contain a terminal carboxy group. This class of compounds provides unique solubility in many organic solvents as well as very substantive salts of the carboxylic acid when neutralized with base. In addition, the compounds of the present invention have tremendous spreadability when applied to substrate. The compounds of the present invention are prepared by reacting a the hydroxyl group in a fluoro alcohol with an anhydride.

The invention relates to a series of novel silicone alkoxylated esters which contain terminal carboxyl groups. This class of compounds provides unique solubility in many organic solvents as well as very substantive salts of the carboxylic acid when neutralized with base. The compounds of the present invention are prepared by reacting a the hydroxyl group in a silicone polymer with an anhydride.

Silicone alkoxylated esters carboxylates

The present invention relates to a series of novel silicone phospholipid polymers which are highly lubricious, produce high levels of copious foam, have low irritation properties and are film formers when applied to hair and skin. The compounds, because they are based upon terminal dimethicone copoylols make flat polymers when phosphated and derivatized. As will become apparent, the polymers of the present invention will orientate themselves into planar sheets, silicone on one side of the plane, fatty portion on the other side in aqueous and other solutions. These flat polymers have the unexpected property of producing non-occlusive films when applied to hair skin and fiber.

Silicone phospholipid polymers

A composition and process for protecting, preserving, and renewing surfaces, especially rubber and other natural and synthetic polymers, leather, and wood is disclosed. The emulsions of the present invention are applied to the polymer surfaces and by virtue of the composition, once applied, the emulsion will break causing the deposition of a uniform coating of treatment chemical. The treatment chemical is formulated to protect, renew and preserve the polymer surface being treated. The treatment composition comprises dimethylpolysiloxane fluid, an aminofunctional dimethylpolysiloxane, a wetting agent, an emulsifier pair, and an agent which causes the emulsion to break when applied to the surface. Each component contributes to the performance of the composition and facilitates the proper deposition of treatment chemical.

Polymer treatment compositions

The invention discloses novel silanol ether compounds. Compounds of the invention are prepared by the ethoxylation and/or propoxylation of the hydroxyl group in the silanol compound. By virtue of their silanol backbone these compounds are highly lubricious and provide outstanding lubrication and hydrophobicity when applied to hair, skin and textile fibers. The incorporation of alkylene oxide into the backbone results in a self emulsifying product which is surprisingly effective in delivering silicone to the substrate being treated. The compounds of the present invention are prepared by reacting a silanol compound with ethylene oxide and/or propylene oxide in the presence of a suitable catalyst.

Process for the preparation of silonal alkoxylates

The present invention provides a novel vinyl silicone monomer which contain urethane functional groups. These materials are used as an intermediates in the preparation of polymers. The vinyl reactive silicone urethane intermediates are prepared by the reaction of hydroxy containing silicone compounds with Benzene-1-(1-isocyanato-1-methylethyl)-3-(1-methylethenyl).

Silicone polymers

The present invention relates to a series of novel silicone phosphobetaines which are high foaming low irritation surface active agents that are substantive to fiber and hair. The compounds, because they contain a pendant ionizable phosphate group and a quatarnary amine compound are amphoterics that is they contain both a positive and negative charge in the same molecule. Since the compounds of the present invention are high molecular weight silicone polymers, they have a high degree of oxidative stability, even at elevated temperatures. In addition, these compounds are non volatile and nonirritating. These combination of properties makes these polymers ideally suited for use in personal care applications.
