A self-priming assembly for a multi-stage pump is provided. The self-priming assembly includes a first diffuser with a first central portion, a first diffuser axis, a first arcuate channel within the first central portion, and a first arcuate passage extending through the first central portion and a first peripheral portion having a first ledge. The self-priming assembly also includes a second diffuser with a second central portion, a second diffuser axis, a second arcuate channel within the second central portion, a second arcuate passage extending through the second central portion, and a second peripheral portion having a second ledge. The first ledge abuts the second ledge. Further, the self-priming assembly includes an impeller with an impeller axis. The first diffuser and the second diffuser are configured to be combined and to receive the impeller therebetween with the first diffuser axis, the second diffuser axis, and the impeller axis aligned.

Self-priming assembly for use in a multi-stage pump

A self-priming assembly for a multi-stage pump is provided. The self-priming assembly can have a first diffuser, a second diffuser, and an impeller. The first and second diffusers each include a central portion, a diffuser axis, an arcuate channel within the central portion, and a passage extending through the central portion. The first diffuser and the second diffuser are configured to be combined and receive the impeller therebetween with the first diffuser axis, the second diffuser axis, and the impeller axis aligned.

Embodiments of the invention provide a push valve assembly. The push valve assembly includes a valve piston that is movable within a valve body between a fully opened position and a fully closed position, passing through an intermediate rinsing position, to selectively provide pressurized fluid through flow paths defined by the position of the valve piston.

Push valve assembly and method

Embodiments of the disclosure provide an adapter valve assembly and a method for installing an adapter valve assembly that allows for independent control of fluid flow at an individual nozzle assembly. The adapter valve assembly can include a ball valve that can be actuated by electricity to change its position. The adapter valve assembly can function independent of the pressure or flow within the system and can be actuated as desired by the user. The adapter valve assembly can also have internal threads which can connect with the existing external threads on nozzle assemblies already installed in the field. Therefore, the adapter valve assembly can be used for retrofit applications.

Some embodiments of the invention provide a pump including a pump chamber, a shaft at least partially positioned in the pump chamber, an impeller coupled to the shaft, and a seal coupled to the shaft. The pump also includes a wet seal chamber. The wet seal chamber can include a separator with a disc and a resilient member. The disc includes one or more slots through which fluid pressure from the pump chamber is transferred to the resilient member. The wet seal chamber substantially prevents fluid from contacting the seal in order to prolong a life of the seal.

Some embodiments of the invention provide a pump including a pump chamber, a shaft at least partially positioned in the pump chamber, an impeller coupled to the shaft, and a seal coupled to the shaft. The pump also includes a wet seal chamber with a first fluid. The wet seal chamber can include a bladder that compresses to compensate for volumetric expansion of the first fluid. The wet seal chamber substantially prevents fluid from contacting the seal in order to prolong a life of the seal.

A linear motion brake () includes a channel shaped shoe guide () straddling a linear race () and having shoe bores () defined in leg plates () for receiving brake shoes (). A piston () is reciprocally received in a piston cavity () of a plate-shaped housing () secured to the shoe guide (). The piston () includes first and second protrusions () extending from the piston head () in the reciprocation direction. Springs () are sandwiched between the shoe guide () and the piston (). Ribs () of the piston () are slideably received in cutouts () formed in the connecting plate () of the shoe guide (). Reciprocation of the protrusions () cams the brake shoes () against the linear race ().
