The present invention relates to an adaptive medical image transmission device and method which consider communication state and residual power. The adaptive medical image transmission method induces an image receiving device to post-process a result of medical image processing performed by a medical image transmission device by: receiving medical image data by means of a probe; sensing communication throughput indicative of a communication state between the image transmission device and the image receiving device; variably determining a data rate required to transmit data on the basis of a preset data rate based on the sensed communication throughput; performing medical image processing by selecting a signal path which satisfies the determined data rate with respect to the medical image data; and transmitting the result of the medical image processing to the image receiving device according to the determined data rate.

Adaptive medical image transmission device and method

The present invention relates to a filter assembly for a medical image signal and a dynamic decimation method using the same. The filter assembly includes a decimation filter that includes an integer number of multiplier accumulators (MACs), changes a cut-off frequency depending on a bandwidth of the medical image signal received through a dynamic impulse response update, and performs a decimation with respect to the received signal according to a decimation ratio, wherein the decimation filter determines a filter coefficient corresponding to an integer interval so as to up-sample the received medical image signal and supplies the filter coefficient to the MACs.

Provided is a method for discriminating a tissue of interest and a method for generating photo-acoustic images to detect a calcified tissue, which includes: detecting an intensity of each pixel of a tissue-of-interest image obtained for each wavelength; matching an index corresponding to an image, which has a greatest intensity corresponding to each pixel, to each pixel; generating a signal weight corresponding to each pixel in consideration of a wavelength absorbed by the tissue of interest; and applying the generated signal weight of each pixel to each pixel of an image obtained with a wavelength, which is the most absorbed by the tissue of interest, to generate an image in which a background is discriminated.
