A hover touch controller device includes a touch sensor having a touch surface and a proximity sensor. The touch sensor provides two-dimensional position information on when and where a user's finger touches the touch surface. The proximity sensor provides three-dimensional position information on pre-touch events. The pre-touch events corresponding to the user's finger hovering over the touch surface within some maximum depth. The hover touch controller device further includes a processor. The processor determines from the three-dimensional information a hover point projected on the touch surface and determines from the two-dimensional information a touch point on the touch surface. The processor communicates the hover point and the contact point to a display device. This can include correcting for any perceived user interaction issues associated an offset between the hover point and the touch point.

Error correction for seamless transition between hover and touch sensing

A method for inducing an activity of a user's autonomic nervous system is provided. The method includes steps of: (a) on condition that each of the user's reference heart rate information corresponding to each of active states of the user's autonomic nervous system is obtained, an inducing device, if a specific active state of the autonomic nervous system is selected by the user, acquiring first reference heart rate information of the user corresponding to the specific active state of the autonomic nervous system; and (b) the inducing device supporting a first vibration stimulus with a first period corresponding to the first reference heart rate information to be applied to the user, to thereby allow the user's real-time average cardiac interval to be synchronized with the first vibration stimulus.

A bioelectrode including a plate, a first electrode disposed on a first side of the plate, and a second electrode disposed on the first side of the plate and separate from the first electrode. The bioelectrode further includes a first guard portion disposed on a second side of the plate, a second guard portion disposed on the second side of the plate and separate from the first guard portion, and a preamplifier configured to output a voltage signal based on a biosignal measured between the first electrode and the second electrode.

A keypad with a plate and distinct keys that move relative to the plate to generate an acoustic signal for acoustic pulse recognition (APR). Each key represents an input value and is structured to contact the plate at a region smaller than an upper surface of the key where a finger or a thumb comes into touch. The contact region of the plate coming into contact with an individual key is small relative the upper surface of the key, and hence, acoustic signals generated in response to the touch of the same key has less variance compared to acoustic signals generated in response to a direct touch of the plate by a finger or a thumb. As a result, the localization of the touch using APR can be more accurate compared to direct touch of the plate by a figure or a thumb.
