A ratio of a number of the first repeating unit (A) and a sum of a number of the second repeating unit and a number of the third repeating unit (B) is 90:10 to 52:48. A ratio of the number of the second repeating unit and the number of the third repeating unit is 67:33 to 1:99. A weight average molecular weight of the copolymer is 225,000 to 2,000,000.

A lithium secondary battery includes a cathode, an anode and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The anode includes an anode active material which contains a mixture of an artificial graphite and a natural graphite. A sphericity of the natural graphite is 0.96 or more. The lithium secondary battery including the anode has improved life-span and power properties.

The anode includes an anode active material which includes a natural graphite, an average particle diameter (D) of the natural graphite being in a range from 9 &#x3bc;m to 14 &#x3bc;m, and an expansion rate of the anode represented is 17% or less.
