A method of brazing galvanized metal parts such as those used for motor vehicle elements or container components. The parts are joined together to create a brazed joint by using at least one electric arc, a metal filler wire, and a gas shield. The gas shield contains hydrogen, carbon dioxide, and argon.

Ternary gas mixture which can be used in the braze welding of galvanized parts

Process for the MIG welding of nickel and nickel alloys, with the use of a gas shield for at least part of the welding zone, in which process the gas shield is a gas mixture containing from 0.05% to 0.5% CO , the balance being argon. Advantageously, the gas mixture also contains, by volume, from 15 to 50% helium, preferably from 17% to 30% helium, or from 0.1% to 10% hydrogen by volume and preferably from 1% to 7% hydrogen by volume.

Process for the MIG welding of nickel and nickel alloys with a shielding gas based on argon and CO2

For MIG welding, either in a spray mode without current modulation or in a pulsed mode, of aluminum and aluminum alloys, with the use of a gas shield for at least part of the welding zone, the gas shield is a gas mixture consisting, by volume, of from 0.01% to 1.80% oxygen and from 15% to 98.2% helium, and any balance being argon.

Process for the MIG welding of aluminum and its alloys with a shielding gas of the Ar/He/O2 type
