The combustion device according to the invention produces gases containing COand water vapor and comprises a circulating fluidized bed reaction chamber (), a separator (), heat recovery means of which a part is situated in a dense fluidized bed (), wherein the part located in the bed of the heat recovery system(s) is composed of catalyst tubes () through which a gas mixture flows. The gas mixture is composed of natural gas and/or naphtha or refinery gas or two or more of these gases. The gas undergoes reformation which converts it into a synthesis gas containing hydrogen. The fact of the catalyst tubes being situated in the dense fluidized bed made up of ashes from the combustion allows the catalyst to be reheated in a homogenous manner and the reforming reaction of the natural gas mixture to be stimulated.

The invention concerns a fluidized bed reactor () made up of tubed membrane walls () cooled by a coolant fluid, the said walls surrounding a combustion chamber () and comprising tubed extension panels () through which flows a coolant fluid by single pass forced circulation. Oil-derived hydrocarbon converter having an integrated combustion installation comprising carbon dioxide capture

The invention relates to a circulating fluidized bed device provided with an oxygen-fired furnace (), a separator () for separating gas and solid particles, a return circuit for returning solids to the furnace (), and an outlet duct () leaving the separator and conveying gases to a heat-recovery boiler, the device being characterized in that it includes injector means for injecting combustible) gas into the outlet from the separator), said combustible gas being propelled by recycled carbon dioxide into the residual vortex created at the outlet from the separator, so as to ensure intimate mixing takes place in the downstream duct () with the combustion flue gases, thereby reducing the oxygen content of said flue gases by residual combustion.

Circulating fluidized bed device provided with an oxygen-fired furnace

The boiler of the invention has a circulating fluidized bed, uses solid fuels and the oxygen obtained by high temperature oxygen production membranes, and is characterized in that the membranes are placed in the bed. These membranes are, for example, of the OTM (Oxygen Transport Membranes) type. Since the membranes operate at over 700&#xb0; C., their positioning in the outer bed is ideally selected because the temperature of the solids circulating in the outer bed is between 750 and 900&#xb0; C. This is particularly remarkable because the operating temperature windows of the circulating fluidized bed coincide with the optimal temperature window of use of the membranes.

Method for energy conversion minimizing oxygen consumption

The invention relates to a fluidized-bed device (F, F) provided with a hearth () equipped with gas mixture feeds called primary feeds, said gas mixture being enriched with oxygen, and said hearth () being provided with a network of two types of primary feed nozzle, a first type of nozzle (B, B') injecting a first gas mixture at a first level close to the hearth () and a second type of nozzle (B, B&#x2032;) injecting a second oxygen-enriched gas mixture at a second level above the first level. According to the invention, said second type of nozzle (B, B&#x2032;) consists of a device for mixing oxygen with a second gas component and connected by its lower end to an oxygen feed (A,A&#x2032;) and to a feed of second gas component, and of a device for injecting this mixture into the combustion chamber.

Fluidized-bed device with oxygen-enriched oxidizer

A circulating fluidized bed reactor is provided that includes a reaction chamber having a vertical partition wall forming two independent subchambers that include a combustion subchamber and a cooling subchamber. A combustion fluidizing gas is provided to the combustion subchamber to maintain a circulating fluidized bed therein. At least one centrifugal separator receives flue gas from the combustion subchamber and separates particles from the flue gas. At least one external bed receives the particles from the at least one centrifugal separator and provides the particles to the combustion subchamber. An external bed fluidizing gas is provided to the external bed to fluidize the particles therein. The cooling subchamber cools the external bed fluidizing gas received from the external bed. Circulating fluidized bed reactor with a convertible combustion method

A centrifugal separator for separating particles from gas uses a separator chamber having an upper potion with at least three substantially vertical planar walls with perpendicular inner faces, and a lower portion, for defining in the chamber a vertical gas vortex. The gas vortex has an inlet formed in the vicinity of a first corner between the first and second walls for gas to be dedusted, an outlet for dedusted gas, and an outlet for separated particles. The separator uses an acceleration duct with a first transverse section at the first end of the duct that is distinctly greater than a second cross section at the second end. This second end is connected to the inlet for gas to be dedusted at the first corner.

The circulating fluidized bed reactor device comprising a reactor chamber delimited horizontally by walls, a centrifugal separator and a back pass for heat recovery The reactor device allows for the introduction of a fluidizing gas into the reactor chamber and for maintaining a fluidized bed of particles in said chambers. The gas to be dedusted is transferred from the reactor chamber into the separator, and the separated particles are discharged from the separator and the dedusted gas is transferred from the separator into the back pass. The method of simultaneously reducing carbon dioxide (CO ) emissions and sulfur dioxide (SO ) emissions produced by the combustion of carbon-containing matter in a hearth consists in injecting into the hearth a calcium-based agent, a fraction of which absorbs SO after decarbonization, and then, after the flue gases have been subjected to intermediate cooling, in causing them to transit via a first reactor and in putting them in contact therein with the other fraction of the absorbant that has not reacted with SO so as to capture CO from the flue gases by carbonization, then, in a separator, in extracting the solids contained in the flue gases output from the first reactor so as to subject them to heat treatment in a second reactor in order to extract CO therefrom by decarbonization and in order to recycle the resulting regenerated CO absorbant to the first reactor.
