Two non-concentric rotating assemblies of a double-twist textile twister are connected together for concurrent rotation. Each assembly has fastening members which are connected to fastening members on the other assembly by a substantially unstretchable traction element and a compressively deformable resilient element which is located between the traction element and the respective fastening member.

A double-twist twister mechanism includes a pair of assemblies which rotate about oblique intersecting axes, support a nonrotating spool carrier and have portions extending through each other. The assemblies are connected together for concurrent rotation by an external elastic member which is passable over the spool carrier into engagement with concentrically arranged fasteners on both assemblies.

The double torsion twisting mechanism includes a rotatable spindle which rotatably supports a bobbin. A coupling unit connected to the bobbin has its axis offset to the bobbin axis to prevent rotation of the bobbin. A yarn ballooning plate is secured to the spindle and rotates the coupling unit via a flexible membrane connected between the plate and the coupling unit. The flexible membrane is cut-out in the region of a radial yarn guide channel which rotates with the spindle.

Double torsion twisting mechanisms

A spinning rotor for free fibers having axial extraction and a rotatable depending hollow shaft secured thereto and provided with two grooves receiving two rows of balls mounted in cylindrical cages and disposed in fixed exterior rings having oblique contact surfaces. These exterior rings are mounted in the bore of a bearing support and are maintained in spaced relation by a cross-piece of U-shape and an elastic washer, the cross-piece being axially and rotatably immobilized in the bearing support by a clamp or similar element.
