If a terminal (MOB_T) receives an incoming call and this receiving terminal (MOB_T) is not suitable to handle this incoming call, the receiving terminal (MOB_T) detects the service type of the incoming call, and notifies this service type to a destination terminal selecting arrangement (PRES_GATH). The destination terminal selecting arrangement (PRES_GATH) registers the presence and capabilities of all terminals (FAX_T, BB_T, MOB_T) within a certain area, and upon receipt of the service type of the incoming call selects the most suitable terminal (FAX_T) within the area of the receiving terminal (MOB_T) to handle the call. The destination terminal selecting arrangement (PRES_GATH) thereupon notifies the address of this most suitable terminal (FAX_T) to the receiving terminal (MOB_T) so that the receiving terminal (MOB_T) can forward the incoming call to the most suitable terminal (FAX_T).

Method to route an incoming call, telecommunication terminal, and destination terminal selection arrangement

The present invention relates to a method for selecting an Application Server in an Internet Protocol multimedia network upon reception of an Internet Protocol Multimedia call destined to a called party terminal. This method at first comprises the step of a call session control network element intercepting the incoming IP multimedia call. Subsequently, the call session control Network element upon intercepting of the incoming IP multimedia call activates a dedicated primary application server. The primary application server, upon analysis of the incoming IP multimedia call presents the incoming IP multimedia call to the called party terminal together with a set of service applications for answering said incoming call. This set of service applications is determined in the analysis. The call session control Network element receives a selection of at least one service application from the set of service applications forwarded by said called party terminal.

Method for selecting an application server, a related call session control network element, a related primary application server and a related called user terminal

A system (SP) to provide a service to a user of a first terminal (T ) of a telecommunication network includes a retriever (RET) to retrieve from storage, in accordance with a coverage area (Ai), a location information (LOC-A ) that is associated by the information storage with the coverage area (Ai). The coverage area (A ) is one of a set of coverage area's (A , A , A , A , A , A ) of the universal mobile telecommunication system. Each one (A ) of the coverage areas (A , A , A , A , A , A ) is, respectively, associated with a location information (LOC-A ) of a set of location information (LOC-A , LOC-A , LOC-A , LOC-A , LOC-A , LOC-A ). In the event the terminal (T ) is located within such a coverage area (A ), the first terminal (T ) is enabled to access the predefined universal mobile telecommunication service. The system further includes a first determiner (DET ) adapted to select, upon receiving an initiation signal (INIT) from the system, a selected location information (LOC-A ) based upon predefined rules and upon one or more location information (LOC-A , LOC-A ) that are retrieved from storage. The first determiner (DET ) furthermore provides the selected location information (LOC-A ) to forwarder (FORW) which is coupled to the retriever (RET). The forwarder (FORW) is enabled to forward the selected location information (LOC-A ) to the user. Thereby, the transportation of the first terminal (T ) to the selected coverage area (A ) according to the forwarded selected location.
