A web wrap device is provided for a round baler. The device has a web carrier for pulling the web from a roll of web to a bale chamber. In a leading portion the web carrier has two elements at least one of which being moveable towards the other. The moveable element has a leading edge, which engages the web and is pulled by the tensioned web onto the other element, which increases the clamping effect. In addition a guard is provided to cover a knife during the wrapping mode, but to expose the knife to the web, when it should be cut.

A belt tracking control device for a conveyor device is provided, in particular for agricultural round balers, having at least one roller and at least one traction element which is guided over the roller and having at least one edge region which extends from the side edge of the traction element in the direction of the width thereof. At least one guide roller is provided through which the edge region can be deflected from the movement plane of the traction element.

Belt tracking control

A hauling or towing vehicle has a power take-off shaft that can be activated and deactivated selectively by way of a coupling. The apparatus has drivable elements that can be connected to the power take-off shaft. An electronic control unit of the apparatus is connected via a bus to an electronic control unit of the hauling or towing vehicle. The electronic control unit of the apparatus is connected to a sensor for detecting a living creature present in a danger zone of the machine. In the case that a living creature is detected in the danger zone, the electronic control unit of the apparatus causes the electronic control unit of the hauling or towing vehicle to order an actuator to disconnect the coupling of the power take-off shaft and/or to prevent the actuator from closing the coupling.

A combination is provided of an agricultural implement and vehicle. The implement includes components that can be driven that are connected to a power take-off shaft of the vehicle, the components being covered by at least one manually opened cover. A sensor is also provided to detect the open status of the cover, that is coupled to an electronic control unit of the implement. The electronic control unit, is connected with an electronic control unit of the vehicle. The electronic control unit of the implement instructs the electronic control unit of the vehicle in case of an opening of the cover detected by the sensor and advises an actuator to disengage a clutch of the power take-off shaft and/or to prevent the actuator from engaging the clutch.

A round baler has bale chamber partly covered by a web spanning at least the distance between its side walls. The web is guided slideably on a path following the shape of the bale chamber.

A round baler is provided for producing bales. The baler has a bale-forming chamber, at least one roller that is driven and that defines a part of an extent of the bale-forming chamber and that is mounted on a moving holder. Continuous, flexible bale forming elements are driven and define another part of the extent of the bale-forming chamber. The bale forming elements contact a first rotating body and a second rotating body, of which the first rotating body is mounted on the holder. It is proposed that the second rotating body is coupled with the holder with respect to motion by a drive connection, so that both move together with the growing bale.

A baler and wrapper combination comprises a baler, a bale wrapper, and a bale transport table. The bale transport table is movable between a bale receiving position at a bale output location of the baler, a wrapping position at which the wrapper can wrap a bale located upon the bale transport table with a sheet material, while movable bale support elements rotate the bale around its horizontal central axis, and a bale depositing position in which a wrapped bale can be deposited on the ground. The bale support elements are arranged to be moved in the bale depositing position into an orientation in which the bale is deposited on its flat end.

Baler and wrapper combination

A baffle arrangement is provided for a harvested crop recovery machine such as a baler. The baffle arrangement has two baffles that follow each other in the direction of the flow of the crop. The upstream baffle is configured in the form of a rake and permits harvested crop lying upon it to fall back into the flow of the crop. A second baffle following the above baffle is configured as a deflector plate having a substantially closed surface and extends above an overshot conveyor in order to conduct harvested crop lifted by it with a minimal amount of friction and prevents the harvested crop from leaving the flow of crop.

Crop baffle arrangement

A bale wrapper is provided that comprises a rotating arm holding a film dispenser. The arm rotates around an axis thereby wrapping the film from the film dispenser around the bale. Rotation of the arm is stopped when a sensing arrangement mounted ahead of the arm senses an obstacle. The arm is driven with a first speed sufficiently slow to prevent any risk of injury and the arm and the film dispenser from being damaged by hitting an obstacle detected by the sensing arrangement when an obstacle sensor observing a sensitive range in the environment of the bale wrapper detects an obstacle. The arm rotates at a second speed faster than the first speed when the obstacle sensor detects no obstacle.

Bale wrapper

Disclosed is a large round bale wrapped with a protective covering for permitting it to be stored outside. The covering is constructed of one or more layers of semi-permeable material. It is possible for an additional layer to be added to a region of the baler to be placed on the ground during storage, this additional layer resulting in the covering becoming essentially non-permeable in the region of the additional layer. A baler for applying the covering to a bale is disclosed together with a device for placing a visual marker on the bale so as to aid a person handling a discharged bale in knowing where the region covered with the additional layer of material is located so that this region may be manipulated into ground contact for storage.

Large round bale wrapped in protective wrapping and method for producing such a wrapped bale

A baler comprises a baling chamber and a sensor arrangement. The sensor arrangement comprises at least one sensor arranged to provide information about a mechanical property of a bale built in the baling chamber and a control unit receiving signals from the sensor. The control unit is operable to automatically calibrate the signals from the sensor based upon at least one signal from the sensor received in at least one known state of the sensor.
