The invention relates to a process and device for making a spun yarn of fibres comprising an internal core which consists in subjecting the yarn to form the core to a momentary false twist by means of a spindle and projecting elementary fibres onto this yarn. Such elementary fibres are projected by means of a mobile guide surface on which the fibres are delivered tangentially, the core likewise being displaced tangentially with respect to the guide surface in a direction concurrent with the direction of delivery of the fibres.

The present invention relates to a process for making a core spun yarn, wherein elementary fibres are projected onto a yarn, the yarn being subjected to the action of a false twist spindle. The projection of the fibres is obtained by means of a mobile guiding surface on which the fibres are delivered tangentially and are maintained paralleled and flat. Furthermore, the core is delivered tangentially on the paralleled fibres obliquely and in the direction of displacement of said fibres. The invention also relates to a device for carrying out this process.

A yarn heating device for closed or open oven use has a plurality of elongate chambers for heating fluid. These are connected at one end to a reservoir for heating fluid having a horizontal connecting pipeline and one or more vertical pipes below it, these pipes having heating means. The chambers are connected at their other ends to a common collector by respective vertical pipelines which have separators near the collector, the separators having small orifices.

The process of an apparatus for asymmetrically heat treating chemical yarns by applying different temperatures on either side of a plane passing through two generatrices of a peripheral surface of each orifice through which the yarns are extruded during production. One side of the plane is preferably at a temperature slightly higher than the melting point of the material and the other side of the plane is preferably at a temperature slightly lower than the decomposition point of the material.

A yarn throwing and twisting machine has at each of a number of working positions two or more throwing spindles, a twisting spindle, a manually disengageable yarn feeder, and yarn break detectors. Pneumatic jacks are provided to disengage the spindles and feeder upon yarn breakage and are controlled by air supplied through a solenoid valve responsive to the yarn break detectors and by a manually operable valve between the throwing and twisting spindles. The solenoid valve is closed, however, upon manually disengagement of the yarn feeder for the purpose of allowing starting up at an individual working position after yarn breakage.

A method and apparatus for the thermal treatment of textile articles in which a moving yarn is delivered from a yarn supply and a main thermal treatment is carried out in a conventional manner by contact with a heated oven, the yarn is cooled and a false twist is applied which feeds back to the main thermal treatment zone. A device for reducing the otherwise minimum unthreading distance between the end of a bobbin and an unthreading guide in a textile yarn unthreading machine. The device comprises a member which defines a formed edge surface, preferably in the form of a circular disc, mounted substantially perpendicular to the axis of the bobbin and concentric with this axis. The disc is positioned between the bobbin and the unthreading guide to define a specially shaped, yarn supporting edge. The positioning of the disc is such that, as the yarn passes over the edge of the disc while being unwound, the angle formed by the straight line which joins the edge of the disc and the facing edge of the bobbin relative to said axis is equal to the half-angle of unthreading. Further the angle formed by the straight line which joins the edge of the disc to the unthreading guide, relative to the said axis, is markedly greater than the half-angle of unthreading.

A spindle adapted for mounting on the framework of a false twist texturizing machine. The spindle includes a platen having three bosses mounted perpendicularly thereon, the bosses being positioned on the platen to form a triangle. Friction discs are carried on the bosses and overlap one another to define a zig-zag path for the yarn. A two-piece fixed guide tube aligned with the center of the triangle formed by the bosses feeds the yarn into and out from the spindle. A motor pulley is mounted on a lever which pivotally attaches to the platen, the motor pulley being adapted to engage a tangential belt disposed adjacent the platen to impart rotary motion to the pulley. A belt drive interconnects the motor pulley with the bosses to rotate the same. A rod pivots the lever to engage or disengage the motor pulley with the tangential belt and control rotation of the bosses.
