The invention relates to a device for displacing a moving part along a longitudinal axis relative to a housing, said device being symmetrical about a plane extending longitudinally relative to the moving part, the device comprising two structures that are secured to said moving part and elements of active material comprising at least two blocks extending between inside walls of each structure, with the elongation directions of the blocks being antisymmetrical about an axis substantially perpendicular to the displacement axis of the moving part, wherein the structures are flexible and suitable for displacing the moving part by deforming as a function of the elongation of the blocks.

Vibration motor primary flight control actuator

A vibration motor comprising at least one stationary part and one part driven to move relative to the fixed part, together with excitation that is suitable for exerting forces that tend to move rigid contact sectors presented by the fixed part and/or the moving part and to cause the rigid sectors to vibrate in vibration modes that combine tangential vibration and normal vibration, thereby driving the movement of the moving part, the motor presenting for the tangential vibration or the normal vibration a main resonant mode and at least one secondary resonant mode, wherein the secondary resonant mode is at a frequency that is substantially equal to a harmonic frequency of the main resonant mode.

An actuator for a primary control surface of an air-craft, the actuator comprising at least one motor of the vibration type mounted in series with at least a second motor which is a piezoelectric, electrostrictive, or magnetostrictive actuator of the direct type, and further including control means causing one or both of the motors to operate in such a manner that the second motor drives movements of the control surface of the type used for stabilizing the aircraft, while the vibration drives movements of greater amplitude.

Actuator for an aircraft flight control surface

A vibration motor includes in a casing at least two pairs of stator plates which comprise tangential deformation active members and two rotor disks between the plates of respective pairs. Active members for generating a normal force extend between the facing plates of both pairs. A spring arrangement is disposed between the pairs of plates and the casing.
